Steve Jobs death?
I can't believe this hasn't been created yet, but here. It's been a little more than a week after his passing and I'm sure more than 80% of the world has moved on (but, I'm sure his family still hasn't so all my thoughts go out to them). But I just want to here your opinion about him and how he changed technology than we had.

Re: Steve Jobs death?
He said some meaningful things about life. Plus he impacted the computer industry in a huge way, gave us Pixar, Apple, and can be credited for making modern, computer-aided medicine in the third world possible.

Re: Steve Jobs death?
My personal favorite response to his death was a YouTube comment (brace yourselves):
"Steve Jobs revolutionized computers. And then he made you pay an arm and a leg to be a part of that revolution."

Re: Steve Jobs death?
Though I sound like a hypocrite when I say this, I didn't care much about him.
He was a Cosmic Humanist [Hippy], and I like Microsoft PCs more.
He's a person I really never thought about. He lived, he died.

I thought he was more of a Buddhist. There is a lot of good philosophy in Buddhism.

I was sorry to hear of his passing, I am a Mac user myself and I own many Apple products. May Steve Jobs rest in peace.
I have changed my username from Justin Long Fanatic to EricChristianOlsenFanatic, so Justin Long Fanatic is my old name on this site, and EricChristianOlsenFanatic is my new one.

Was he? I may have gotten them mixed up. I read an article at the Yahoo
website's news section, but I couldn't remember what it said he believed.

Never cared much for his company's products and never really knew anything about him, but I'm not going to say I don't care, so... I'll go with what Clock-la said (this is certainly a first
).

George Lucas is also Buddhist (but is also Methodist Christian).

Re: Steve Jobs death?
I'm disappointed that he passed away. He practically invented the mouse and windows computer scheme seen in every PC, Mac, and Linux computer. Not to mention the iPod itself. Pretty much every single smartphone is based on that design now. I've yet to see a major device that wasn't influenced by him.
But I don't see this as necessarily a bad thing. Of course it's sad to see someone die like this, but Apple is one of the few companies with major influence. It's time for some others to step up to that position. Who knows what other crazy things could come out now?

er, i was thinking more in terms of the fact that he's not suffering from cancer anymore, but okay..

Re: Steve Jobs death?
Dennis Ritchie has just died. The father of the C language and the UNIX kernel.
Personally, I feel his contributions were many times more than Steve Jobs and Bill Gates combined.

Re: Steve Jobs death?
Hah, Gaddafi got wasted by some teen after being dragged out of a sewer where he was hiding with a golden gun.
What a n00b.
It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living.

Re: Steve Jobs death?
A originally powerful person, and that person had the golden gun. Teen might have used it to kill him, the details are still sketchy, but I doubt it. How impractical must a golden gun be?
