I need some ideas for apps

I just came back from a 2 week long course for iPhone programming, and...

Now I have no idea what to do...

So... I need some ideas! I'm trying to think of a couple of apps to make right now, but other than my airsoft calculator (which I will be sending for approval soon), I can't think of anything else. So does anyone have any ideas or requests?

-It will most likely be completely free (so don't think I'll be getting anything other than experience).
-I probably won't get a chance to make any games soon because I already have a game project in the works (games take a lot longer).
-Even if you think it will be difficult to make, say it anyways.

Anything you guys want, I'll try and make. Heck, I am probably going to try and make a SpyroForum app just for you wink

1. Make a game where you just tap and drag an object to a goal area.
2. Make sure it is painfully easy.

- Xbox LIVE app to check and send messages
- Button that plays random voiceovers from Spyro games (or some other game)

Anyway, as for the app idea, I had an entire semester this last school year to come up with and make an app, and I ended up using the professor's idea. I'm not sure what else there is that would be cool to do (that's possible at that. I've asked people for app ideas before and they seem to be under the impression you can program smart phones to think in the same way humans do)

Airsoft, that's just guns for suburban lovers of ultraviolence, right? Well, how about an app that allows you to find your battle area on google maps or something, and form battle plans with any accomplices. And if you and your friends had it, you could use it to coordinate movements at distance without having to bellow your plan to the enemy. And make sure it could be used for paintball as well.

Anyways, I think I forgot to mention that I can't make anything that is copyrighted or uses some sort of encoded database.

That means I unfortunately can't make an Xbox live app, Death note app, or Spyro soundboard. However, I will continue seeing if I can make a SpyroForum app. And while I don't think anyone is stupid enough to carry an iPod or iPhone out to an airsoft or paintball field, I think that is a good idea. I'll try it.

Nowhere as hard as you make it out to be though.

Java works on all three in one way or another. I would just need to recreate the function calls and pass it through a layer for the phone to read it. The application itself would work the same across all systems. The layer would take that application and put it into each phone's binary format. Would not be the most efficient way, and definitely wouldn't look the prettiest. But very doable.

However, Java is a PITA... And I refuse to work with it...

This is new to me. I thought iOS and all iPhone apps run in Objective-C?

I've only done Android app development myself, but I know others who have done iPhone apps.

Create an application where you write notes on a yellow notepad. Not type,
but actually touch it and draw your notes onto it. I don't have any touch-
screen technology, especially one that uses "apps," but I think it's a nice idea.

Almost all of the awesome in the pony fandom has been fan made. But not all of it is. Every now and Hub suprises the pony fan community that speaks to their fans, even the older ones!!

Just last week, they started airing this commercial promoting air times for Friendship is Magic:

Equestria Daily has already picked apart this ad and has several bronies working on their own buttons and iprograms, or whatever youz callz 'em. The bronies do move fast.

But you can create a different pony app, the possibilities are near endless!

The Bronies are the most dedicated fan-game developers ever. There's a team making a fighting game, another making "Fiends from Dream Valley", and yet another making a game around Super Tux Kart.

That was actually the first project I did at the academy. Though now you've gotten me thinking on expanding it...

Double-click to add text. Different backgrounds for graph paper/normal lined paper...

That could actually be really useful and practical.

1. Not a brony.
2. No copyrighted material
3. Actually, the possibilities are VERY limited compared to other concepts. What kind of 'possibilities' are there? I could possibly see a soundboard app, and maybe a video app? But other than that it seems more limited than a purposely specific app.

I think I'll leave it to that community to do that. I'm not really into MLP, and I would prefer something that I could use on my transcript without normal people asking "What the heck?"
