Re: DIET SQUISH.
cold logic is too mainstream, it's slowly becoming the new "cool" thing it seems. defying logic is what people look down on (which you can clearly see by this thread, heh). like i said i could go into more detail about what i'm saying, and possibly even make myself look a little less stupid, but i don't really want to, for a number of reasons. one is because like i said, it seriously would go over your head since you don't dedicate your time to this kind of thing like i do (kind of like what would happen if you tried getting me into a huge debate over video games/movies, i'd be lost), and also in certain respects it gets pretty personal. i have pretty close friends who don't know everything i believe.

Re: DIET SQUISH.
Not to fuel the fire here, but "too mainstream" is seriously not a good reason to not like or agree with something, just thought I'd point that out before you get flamed to death about it and get called a hipster. I think you're also underestimating people and I doubt your ideas are so complicated that they'd go over everyone else's heads. They wouldn't agree, possibly, but I think saying they wouldn't understand is stretching things. I'm not one who believes everything has to be explained by logic, either, but you have to understand that if you're not going to give reasons for unusual beliefs like that and then just tell anyone who asks that your reasons would go over their heads is not going to get people to take you seriously at all, so by this point there's little point in arguing about it.

Re: DIET SQUISH.
Understood, but I feel that it's the same for trying to defend yourself; you're still going to get nowhere and possibly just make it worse; it's almost the same as if you were trying to convince everyone else to believe in dragons too. You're trying to get people to leave you alone, not take you seriously? Then just stop arguing about it and the argument will stop. Continuing it implies (to me at least) that you do care about their opinions enough to want to make them think of you differently.
But really, the only reason I got involved in this at all is because it seems like you pull the "you just don't understand me" card a lot when really it just comes down to people not agreeing with what you say, and to be honest that annoys me a bit because it's like you're implying that everyone is too unintelligent to understand you. I know that's not what you're trying to say, but that's the way it comes off to me.
