According to the mod panel you should be able to have an avatar, so probably just a glitch.

the image was probably taken down from the website it was on, or something. find another one like it, Google Images is your friend.

Latias, did you make sure you checked the Delete Image box before trying to upload another avatar? i really, really don't know much about this stuff, but it's worth a try.

You shouldn't have to delete an old avatar; any new one you upload should just overwrite it. That would never be the problem.

I was able to successfully upload an avatar to your account as a test. Your account is not being blocked from uploading avatars in any way. How are you trying to upload it? From your computer or another website? In both cases, make sure it's not too big in dimensions or filesize. I'm not sure what the maximum avatar size is, but if you exceed it, or if you upload an incompatible filetype like bmp, your upload will not work. If you're trying to upload it from another website, I think it's possible that that website might be blocking the upload. You could try saving the image to your computer and uploading it from there.

well, there goes .PNG out the window. go the .JPG route, Latias. it's okay, these are hard times.. i can forgive you..

edit: ooh, whaddya know, my own avatar is .PNG. well then, go ahead man, try it. just.. be careful. filesize is shaky business.

The test one I uploaded was png. I doubt filesize or dimensions is the problem anyway, because it would give an error message if you tried to upload anything too big.
