Transformers Dark of The Moon

So I know there's a lot of summer movies out there. But is anyone going to go check out Transformers Dark of The Moon? I've enjoyed the first two looking forward to the final installment.

Re: Transformers Dark of The Moon

No, I don't really see any movies out right now that interest me. Well, KFP2
was an awesome movie, but that's the only one I like.

Re: Transformers Dark of The Moon

I will see it if not at the cinema then on DVD. It may be stupid but it is based on the tranformers franchise after all and besides, those robots look so cool.

Re: Transformers Dark of The Moon

The films have been good so far, the first one i loved as it had a few tie-ins to transformers past history, e.g a yellow beetle and the main character commenting that the robot is probaly Japanese. The first two seem to have a a sufficient amount of action and just enough humour to keep you interested which makes the story better smile. I just hope this 3rd film will carry on the same quality.

Re: Transformers Dark of The Moon

I definitely want to see the Transformers movie. I loved the first two even though I was never as Transformers fan to begin with. A friend of mine really wants to go see the Green Lantern and she will mostly likely take me along. But my bf told me that he heard people didn't seem to like it. Some went even as far to just walk out of the movie =/ I'll still probably go see it with her anyway

Re: Transformers Dark of The Moon

I can't wait, even though it may suck, but hey, I love mindless action and could care less about a story if it is in a movie, also, these movies seem to be more aimed towards the hardcore fans, no matter how hard Bay tries to expand his adiance, also...

Kingdom Hearts stopped being good for me after 2. Days was *bleep*. Coded was a mess. Kingdom Hearts 3D sounds more like a gimmick to me. And most insulting of all, Birth by Sleep volume 2????

To hell with Kingdom Hearts. Square is just being stubborn and not properly end the series and want to milk the series for as long as they can.

Re: Transformers Dark of The Moon

Square have been really milking Kingdom Hearts, but they don't have a choice right now. Final Fantasy has gone into a tailspin over 13 and 14, the first of which lost a lot of fans, the second of which was an utter disaster they still can't charge for. Kingdom Hearts remains a solid franchise that they can use to heal their wounds. From a business perspective, they don't want to let it go until they've got FF back on its feet. If Versus is a success, and they release 14 on the console with decent quality, then they'll probably let Kingdom Hearts end.

Not big on transformers myself, but I agree with some of the critics when they say it's physically difficult to watch. The complexity of the machine things is so great that it almost hurts the eyes.

Square has a bunch of other games they could make to make money(like hey heres an idea a Parasite Eve game THAT DOESN'T SUCK!!!) It could be ANYTHING other than Kingdom Hearts hell whatever happened to Dragon Quest X? that would make money and i want a good DQ game after the godawful Dragon Quest IX.

Re: Transformers Dark of The Moon

Ah Latias, you have yet to understand the intricacies of large businesses. Do you think shareholders are ignorant of their company's activities? The shareholders know that FF is failing, and they also know that only KH rivals FF's size in Square's arsenal. The point is that those two franchises are proven moneymakers, and their two most successful lines. The shareholders won't allow KH to retire unless they are very confident in their position. Can Dragon Quest or Parasite Eve even hope to attract the level of revenue a KH game can? I don't think so.

Shareholders know everything about their company, except how well their future games will do. They can't predict that. So why take a risk on a small franchise? Large franchises are statiscally more likely to do better than small ones. Right now, Square is on the defensive, and that means they won't take any risks.

Honestly, you need to take a step back, and remember that games aren't produced to satisfy your whims. They are made to satisfy some accountants in a building miles from any of us, and that's the only way it can be.
