i'm not sure how i feel about season 5, i haven't seen all of the season 4 finale but i saw parts of it, and i was just sort of like "wut, is this even the same show?"

Yeah, I saw the whole thing and it felt off to me too. I don't have a problem with them having to sell toys or anything, but they could've made it at least a little more subtle than they did. The ending was basically just a commercial for "new rainbow power ponies, only 9.95!!!"

you know, whenever people point out that something was "obviously" just for the merchandise, i never quite see it. the writers generally do a good job of working stuff into the story. then again i haven't seen the end of that one in detail so idk.

does anyone here have an overall favorite episode? mine (so far) is absolutely Cutie Mark Chronicles.

The ones where Discord was the villian for me. I can't quite remember the name of it. The Royal Wedding episode was also pretty good

I don't usually say that either about this show; it's really just that one episode, and even then, just the end of it. Basically what happened was they opened the box they had been hinting at all season and it ended up being "rainbow power" inside that changed them to look like, well, toy designs.

They were already making toys that looked kind of like this; the episode just gave them an excuse for them to be called canon this time. Or maybe it just bugged me because those colors don't even remotely look good together. tongue

As for favorite episodes, I pretty much like all the Rarity ones. tongue Return of Harmony (both parts) were really good, too.

oh, wow, haha. those designs are extremely unnecessary. also a little too complex/colorful for their own good.

yes, Rarity is a very underrated character it seems. loved the wedding episode(s) too.

I think my favorite episode was with Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash where they created that tornado thing to get water to the clouds. smile

Rarity is awesome. People think her melodrama is annoying, but I find it funny. tongue She's probably my favorite character.

Oh yeah, how could I forget about the wedding episodes? Season 2 was just really good all around.

That Pony's more over dramatic then, a drama play! But she's great! One of the reasons she's my second favorite, My favorite episodes was probably Twilight's parts 1 and 2 The episode was great! So much action, and them finally unlocking the chest! Was cool, Plus Tirek was a good villain!

That happened with thomas the tank Engine (I CAN'T HELP WATCHING IT I LOVE STEAMTRAINS) they just put in new engines only for them to never be seen again (and they never gave them any personallity other that a shy engine that just wanted to help) but recently they seem to be putting effort into new charictors, giving then persoallitys and having them appear more oftern tongue

so my dad knows i'm a brony now. tongue my mom's known for awhile though. we were at a store today and they were selling pony plushies (bigger than i remember them being O_o) didn't feel like spending a ton of money on plushies so i only got one, decided on Rainbow Dash. my dad didn't comment or indicate an opinion either way, but he clearly saw it in the basket tongue

you can't see in the picture but the wings and part of the mane are sparkly.

So...I saw a few episodes on TinyPop (new channel to freeview) and...its not bad or anything it is watchable (Which is alot more I can say for most of todays TV) I still don't see what made it as big as it became xD...but hey like I said it was good tongue
