My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Quite honestly, I sincerely impressed with the way the writers portrayed Luna. How the hell do explain a character who not only hasn't interacted with ponies for a 1000 years but also only shared that 1000 years with her alter ego. She refers to herself as us and we because of the Nightmare Moon persona she once had. I'm sure a thousand years as Smeagol would take the same effect.

And I imagine that crossed with the reality of meeting somepony from 1000 years ago would be a culture shock. I imagine if someone in human history came forward a thousand years from the 11th century, they would use thys and thous.

I was nervous with how they would explain her character coming from the evil nature that she did. They defined her to a T.

Because that's how they talked back then. In Ye Olde Butchered English. I would'nt think being trapped in the moon for 1000 years keeps you up-to-date on current trends. Though this raises questions.

1. If Luna didn't spend the first season learning the ways of the new aristocratic world. What did she do?

2. What did she do on the moon anyway? 1000 years is a long time to do nothing.

3. Zecora is a girl?!?!?!?!?!?! O_o.

Not really. She used the royal "we" which is how old monarchs spoke back then. When a monarch says that. It bascailly means that there talking about the kingdom.

Ex: They bombed our train when we were but a child-Maximillion(Valkyria Chronicles)

Ex: We shall send the world back into the void-Cloud of Darkness(Final Fantasy III)

Actually RD and Cynder go well together. Two completely overrated bland characters together. It's perfect.

That's one of the problems i have with the show actually. There names are pretty dumb. Makes Final Fantasy XIIIs names look more real(Lightning? Hope? Fang?

Hope is an actual name. But I get what you mean. If you think of it, their
names are what adds to their personality. Their names reflect their personality.

You gotta wonder why they named her that, though, lol. I mean, that was the first thing I thought when I heard her name. But maybe that has to do with the fact that I used to be an active member of the TwilightSucks forums.

Rarity: I dunno lol

Twlight Sparkle: Sparkle can represent her talents with magic

Pinkie Pie: Pinkie cus shes pink. Pie because of her baking talents

Applejack: She works at an apple farm

Rainbow Dash: Rainbow represents her homosexuality. Dash represents her need for speed.
