Re: Music?

People will probably find this strange, but I don't listen to a lot of music. Before I got my MP3 player, I never listened to music at all except when the radio or something happened to be on.  After I got the MP3 player, I started to download songs to put on it, but after listening to them all a few times I realized I don't really like any of my music anymore and it was really all kind of a waste of money to buy them in the first place.

Re: Music?

Music is my life, heck, I'm surprised my ears still work. Gabber, schranz, electro, and hardcore are my favorites.

If the first rap song you heard was the most horrible song ever, would you be eager to go out and try more rap?

Also people have different tastes and crud. What may seem like an amazing song in the world may sound worse than a baby crying.
(Although I like pretty much any genre out there and agree that people shouldn't limit themselves to a few, as they might be surprised by songs a genre might have to offer.)

of course
I used to not like all rap for a long time thinking that I was cool for doing that or something
after realizing how stupid I was being I ended up finding some rap that I really enjoyed

Re: Music?

Personally I see rap as one of those genres that have a lot of popular crap, but if you look around you'll find some songs you'll really enjoy, as long as you like just about any genre of music.

It's sorta sad that there are so many songs out there that get overshadowed by more popular songs.

Ya. It is. Also I think it's sad how the old music is not loved anymore cause of the newer ones.
I mean someone thought a 2009 band created the 'All you need is love' song when it was original a Beatles Song.
And also 'Land of confusion' people think that's a Matalica (I spelt it wrong) song but it's originally a Phil Collins song.

Re: Music?

people mix up covers all the time
you can't always get mad though, if it's not their era they might not know better. I'm not a huge fan of much older music

Re: Music?

Such as this one:

It's a song called Chariot. It's an old [Christian] church hymn, and a more
modern band [Hyper Static Union] created an interesting and cool version
of the song. I'll give you a few links for you to further understand me.

The old version by CWG [It's pretty sweet, picks up after a while] ...
[YouTube]

... and the newer, more awesome version by HSU. [Lyrics in video description.]

It was actually Disturbed that covered Land Of Confusion. Not Metallica.

Hillsong. Didn't the vocalist lie to his fans about dying of Cancer just so he can use their donation money to buy pornography?

Also, Noise music is SUPPOSED to be unlistenable, the point is to be taxing and harsh.
