Re: The Scientific Revolution
They're only big when you take the rotors into account. They're loud, but you'll be wearing headphones, and they're only dangerous to birds and basketball players.
It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living.

I know, but in a helicopter there's not as much traffic, it opens up all kinds of hobbies, and you can help with top-secret military operations in your spare time.

Re: The Scientific Revolution
Think of the birds, people. They don't mind what we do in the sky now, but I'm sure they wouldn't be happy if we overused the sky. It might be worse than the 2011 Bird Rapture.
Yo, Spyro
I'm really happy for you, but Jazz Jackrabbit is one of the best platformers of all time.

Re: The Scientific Revolution
Monetarily practical? No. Safe? No. hahaha
Not now, not even Fordist-style mass production of helicopters is going to be practical.
Who the heck's going to traffic the air if helicopters become a product available to anybody? Who's going to set up for practice and licensing? There's a whole system you have to set up.

Re: The Scientific Revolution
Not if I'm the only one with a helicopter.
And besides, you think that flying cars would be any better?

even if made legal, it'd cost you an arm and leg since the lack of mass production won't cut down prices - assuming you're the only one who'd buy one
And besides, you think that flying cars would be any better?
Not at all. I don't share the opinion that flying cars is a practical idea - that's 50s-style, futuresque thinking a la Jetson's.

Re: The Scientific Revolution
A bit.
By the way, if people want flying cars, why don't they just buy helicopters?
Was the point I was making.

Until you realize your name is two syllables with a single vowel.
