Lets Wiki it.

Hentai is a Japanese word that, in the West, is used when referring to sexually explicit or pornographic comics and animation, particularly those of Japanese origin such as anime, manga and computer games...

Re: Anime 101

There is a saying on a shirt of my friends that speaks the truth unless you watch anime online.
"Anime. Drugs would be cheaper." This is slightly true for the fact that Anime season discs are roughly $60-$100 for 1 season... Not counting alot of them have kind of poor endings and some times they get Lazy and end a series in anime form but continue it in Manga form which is basically like a comic book but smaller and alot more pages.

OH and another Anime I would Reccomend most is Soul Eater.... One of my all time favorite animes. There is another 2 episode anime that they stopped and got bored with after the 2 episodes called Dragon Half. thats all the anime i can think of that i missed... for now.

You'd feel bad even if there was no dvd yet?

So, you can keep your place on discs but not online? How does that work?

There's more than one genre of anime, so you could complete it with just about anything really. Heck, you could even complete it with "watching things blow up" if you watch a lot of action anime. tongue

As for the original topic, if you're looking for a series with episodes, I can't really help you there since I've only seen a couple that you can legally watch for free online, meaning no popular or mainstream ones. But I can recommend what got me watching them in the first place, which were my friend's Studio Ghibli movies.

Your kidding me.... You would rather buy a Japanies Anime also with no englash sub titles then to watch it online. That means you would NEVER finish Soul Eater, never watch Dragon Drive, Never watch Legendz, and never watch ANY of the good anime that most likely will NEVER come to america unless it is fan dubed and put online.
As for keep track.... BOOK MARK THE NEXT EPISODE! That is how u keep track. I didnt have the $40 to spend on Wolves Rain. I didnt have the money to spend for the $60 Soul eater and the $xx for the Japanies last season. The online is pretty much for anime thats not on Dvd yet, people who dont have money, or just flat wana watch the show instead of waiting for days for Netflix to send it. Though the quality isnt the best, some times its horrible, its still WAY worth watching online.

Re: Anime 101

Netflix seems to have a pretty good selection of anime titles.  Although I bet it lacks for the hardcore fan.

Re: Anime 101

It kind of does but its also a REAL pain in the tail when you are watching an anime, turn it back in get another 2 days later and then you turn that back in to get the last disc to see the ending and BAM that disc is on a long wait... so you gota wait half a month before you can see the ending unless you go online in horrible quality with no surround sound..
