Don't really know what to say now...
See if you can come up with anything else to say on the topic.

Re: A Different Direction
Activision might do something stupid to the series, if they're going to take it in a different direction. Another reboot is possibly going to take place.
That might be it, but they might even do something good this time

Re: A Different Direction
Hmm, this is interesting. I thought they cancelled the movie because they didn't think there'd be a market, but this makes it sound like it's not going to fit with whatever "new direction" they have planned.
I guess we'll have to wait and see what it is. I admit, I'm kind of excited to find out.
Im not relay existed but i am curios to find out what can make the next game not fit TLOS film...

You want ANOTHER reboot? Again?

You can't expect another reboot to be any better...

Re: A Different Direction
Have they ever done something good to their games?
Sierra have made some great games in their time, believe it or not. Years back they made three iconic series' Space Quest, King's Quest and Police Quest. Moving forward a few years, they developed Half-Life, more recently they made Prototype. So yes, they have made a few good games apparently they must've done something wrong with Spyro.

"Developed" and "Published" are not the same thing...
Half-Life: Valve
Prototype: Radical Entertainment
Never heard of those Quest games before though.

Re: A Different Direction
Actually, Sierra was the publisher. Valve was the developer.
Same with the Spyro games: Sierra didn't actually develop anything.

It's understandable.
Kings Quest - 1984
Space Quest - 1986
Leisure Suit Larry - 1981
Police Quest - 1987

Re: A Different Direction
But this is Activision we're talking about. They're probably not as open-minded as Sierra was.
Yes, but the pure heartedness of Blizzard is overshadowing Activision.

You also have to remember that Blizzard is the best developer Spyro has ever had since Insomniac, so that means we will have more quality Spyro games.
Hopefully... Probably, but hopefully...

Since when?...Blizzard are only focused on three games at the time which have been orginial Blizzard creations.
Activision is being lazy and focused more on COD.

Re: A Different Direction
Activision's just being secretive at the moment, and I hope they'll at least tell us what the next game will be about instead of lurking in the shadows like a bunch of hermits.
I doubt that even with the pure heart of Blizzard, Activision will start caring about the fans of Spyro think, but only pay attention to the money they receive from the games.

Blizzard is a developer, Activision is the publisher.
Activision only gets to set the major parts of the game, Blizzard will be the one to turn a crappy vision into a dream.
Unless... Blizzard isn't developing the next Spyro! Maybe they got another studio to do it?

Re: A Different Direction
It probably won't be as good as Diablo 2 though, but back on topic.
But Blizzard are a very good company
