Re: Good thing or bad?

Yeah, when I was younger I had no idea a lot of other people played it. My best friend, my brother, and one other person were the only people I knew that knew about Spyro. But when I mention it to people now, they usually know what I'm talking about. "Oh yeah, Spyro, those games were amazing when I was 10!"

Re: Good thing or bad?

I'm kinda glad the movie hasn't been made. The only good thing that would have really come out of it would be the merchandise, and even then, there's no guarantee there would be much of it.

And Spyro was very popular when he started out. Like Stormy said, most people I know react to Spyro as 'Yeah, Spyro had some of the best games on the Playstation, but then they started to suck'. Even when you look around the net, people mostly respond to Spyro in that manner.

Re: Good thing or bad?

You can search for something completely normal and come up with disgusting Spyro x Cynder pictures.  It's not that we go looking for pictures like that to complain about.

Plus you can't really deny the fact that it gives the Spyro fandom a bad name when people draw that stuff. We're all thought of as furries who find dragons attractive. >.>

Re: Good thing or bad?

I remember searching for 'Cynder' and a picture came up with her holding big tits and it saying CENSORED across the middle.

If I wanted Cynder porn I would have added the extra word.

Re: Good thing or bad?

Activision taking the Spyro series in a different direction, that's why. Something away from the LoS or the Old Spyro.

Re: Good thing or bad?

The only problem with so-called different direction, Aura24 is that so far Spyro as a franchise has rarely if ever been taken seriously enough by his owners or his various developers. If they really cared about this franchise they would put the effort that is necessary into making a good storyline that makes the fans of both version stop bickering and come together. What is needed is a Spyro game that heals the fanbase not divided further. Unfortunately, I fear that like so many owners before them Activision/Blizzard will screw up the franchise even more in some way.
