Argil continued on his way through town and jumped into a nearby lake to take a break.

Re: Le Prélude des Ombres (RP , please read first post)

"The fourth the fifth,
The minor fall,
The major lift,
The shadow king composing
es-ton-ue-Sha"

Arekessue slid his fingers along the false ivory as he played one of his favorite tunes on his imagionary paino. He would have looked quite the sight if a passerby had spotted him signing softly to his playing of an invisable instrument. He, however felt no worry of feeling foolish due to being spotted, as he was in a very dry desert.

Supposedly a town of marks livved in this Sha forsaken land, moreover, marks with rare hides. Better yet, if it's a town, the only thing he has to worry about are milita, by defanition untrained but well meaning combatints... easy pickings. He only hoped his targets had alot of contact with humans, he diddn't want to be a spectical when walking into town.

As Arekessue neared the town entrance, which wasnt much more then a dusty road leading into a gathering of closely clumped shelters, he breathed a sigh of releaf. Not a guard in sight, only scaly, winged, and somewhat oblivous marks going about there meaningless day to day lives.

He began to mingle amoung the dragons, staying out of sight. Not out of sight in the way a stalker would, simply someone who doesnt want to be noticed as he himself "lived his day to day life". As he wondered, he saw dragons talking to one another, he listened to the babble of there voices untill he found they had as much to say as a rabbit does to a frog. That is to say, nothing much. What he did pick up on is that humans were either so common they wern't a topic of discussion, so uncommon that there was no talk of them, or that they were so hated that no dragon spoke about humans. All of these possabilites ment little to Arekessue, as he diddn't really care if they hated him, as long as they diddn't try and harm him all at once, one at a time however would make his job ever so much easyer.

He was just thinking about how he might go about dispatching two dragons at once when he spotted it. A dragon with beautyful green scaling. He moved closer, ducking dogeing and weaving though the croud of dragons to get a better look. Upon closer inspection he found the the dragon was actilly a dragoness, a young dragoness at that, maybe older teens as far as dragons go. She yawned and streched, and then her eyes glazed over as if a million miles away.

THe hunter snapped at this oppertunity, he used her distraction to shut the gap between them. He moved quickly and quietly, sturring only the sand beneth him with his steps. When he was roughly 6 feet away from her, he ducked behind a building wall and began to casually lean against it as if this was his spot and had been for years and years. Arekessue then focused upon the dragoness and tryed to read her. A very tricky process you see. It is easy to get bright emoutions mixed if one isn't concentrating and the target is ppotent in hideing one's tohughts and feelings, but to someone who is distracted, much easyer, almost mind readable. But, mind reading is almost impossable, at least, af afar as the thrif was concerned.

As he read, he could feel cold, as dark emoution, hollow? Lost? Dismay?Girls were always so much harder to read then guys, a much larger range of emoutions and much more complex. It was comparable to guessing if a card was red or black not knowing the dealer was playing with Uno cards. What he could pick up on was a few key words, Innocense, whoever the hell "Mort" was, and Father.

Now his first guess was that father and "Mort" had taken her innocense, but he knew better then to open with "Hi, I was just wondering if your father and someone named "Mort" took advantage of you?" And even if he did want to open with that, there was no time as she began to move.

Arekessues heart raced as he stepped casually out into her way on purpose, hopeing that she would crash into him.

((Mort lives in a forest in the Artisans world, not the desert.)) wink

Naomi was quite bored. She didn't think that she would be. Usually she enjoyed some free time wandering around the merchant stalls. But today felt kind of... empty. Possibly because her father hadn't bombarded her with errands. She wasn't used to having nothing to do.

She sighed and continued her aimless wander. She gave a smile to her friend Eolanda, a young fawn who worked on of the stalls. In the corner of her eyes, she could swear that she could see a young looking human boy lurking around near to her, but she thought nothing of it and carried on.

The next moment, the human jumped out of nowhere and she practically stepped over him to avoid trampling him. Being an Earth dragoness had its disadvantages, one of them being that she was a little bigger than most other dragons her age. She stumbled a little and regained her balance.

"Oh, excuse me! Are you OK?" She asked, bending down a little to check if he was hurt. Then he spoke. His every word sent chills down her spine. "...Mort? My father? Wha-- How do you know such things?" She frowned slightly and tilted her head suspiciously. "Who are you?"

A giant squid pooped out of the water and it's tenticles went straight at the town. Argil jumped out of the water and bit the side of it's head stopping the attack and making the monster scream in pain as it's tenticles came back.

Argil spun around making a water twister around himself he went right through the squid's head creating a hole. The squid screamed in pain and fell into the waters of Lystra dead. Another one emerged. "Here we go again!" Argil said running at it as it let out a roar.

The Squids's tenticles wrapped around Argil as it tried to eat him alive. Argil used his water breath firing it right into the mouth of the beast then a water disk formed in his mouth he fired it into the monster's mouth and the monster exploded into guts and blood. Argil walked back into Lystra.

"All in a days work but that was the first time I've ever played hero!" Argil said walking on.

Argil walked into the a city hall like place. "Commander squids were attacking the city!"

A wizard that was old was sitting in the Commanders chair.

"Who are you?" Asked Arigl.

"They call me Zerve and sorry to say but I am taking control of this city!"

"Not on my watch!" Argil said ramming him out the wall at fast speeds.
