No New Games Yet???

Hey all,
I couldn't resist opening a topic for this. Simply because it's how I feel. Think about it. The last game came out in 2008. Here we are in 2010, and they haven't even advertised a new game yet! And they always advertise, like, 6 months ahead of time...I;m just wondering, what;s going on with the Spyro franchise? Why do u all think we haven't seen any new games?

Well it's been confirmed there's a Spyro game in development...
But I say let them take their time..the more time they spend on making Spyro game the better D:
imo we don't need a Spyro game every year =/

My guess is that since their last trilogy wasn't as successful as they would have liked, they're reworking some things.

Hopefully since they're taking their time this time, it'll be something good, but I'm not holding my breath for it.

You dont know?
They are making another and they are pretty far through it.
It's predicted to come out the 4th quarter of this year. There is going to be a reveal at E3 this may.

Yeah.. but it seems like dotd didnt become a very big sucsess so they may have stopped working on it. Hopefully they sell spyro back to insomniac-games.

They confirmed that there will be more Spyro games; the composers of the LoS trilogy also confirmed that they won't be composing the music for the next game since Activision had already chosen another music composer for it, hinting that there IS a Spyro game being made. And Insomniac also confirmed in a topic in the Spyro Chat here that they can't go back to Spyro even if they wanted to.

Hmm, didn't Insomniac state that they never owned Spyro? Spyro is owned by Universal who is now part of Activison Blizzard... its not a matter of owning Spyro its a matter of being hired to make a game for Spyro. Producers /Publishers are the ones that give the green light and make the deadlines, Developers just make it happen.

I think that was Naughty Dog with Crash. At least, I don't think Insomniac ever said anything similar to "We sold the rights to the publisher before Spyro 1".

^ Agreed. There are already enough Cynder fantards as it is; more of them is the last thing we need. A Cynder-only game would only make this fandom look more idiotic as the comments about how "hot" Cynder is start flooding in. sad

An all Cynder game would be pure torture. I mean what about her can we have a story about?

Personally i think they should give up on this style of Spyro and do another Reboot. But the problem with a reboot is it could be worse then these ones hmm

Maybe just as a spin-off or an afterstory? Personally I wouldn't mind one but I am a little weary of the reaction from certain fans. Ooh lordy that'll be the day.
