Re: Furries
I love to draw furries, again mostly feral. I'm not the best at human figures. and this is... probably gonna sound weird but even when I draw anthro furries I don't draw them with any clothes. but its not like I draw any details. im not the only one who draws like that. alot of anthro furries actually don't always have clothes so if you are new to the furry fandom don't freak out XD the person isn't trying to be a sick freak. just thought I'd put that out there
same... I've been practising for a LONG time to draw something even slightly representitive of a human figure... I mostly draw them sort of... chibified, if that makes sense... ...-gives a visual example- XD
[anthro, sorry about the deathly sketchiness]
[usual style, chibified and USUALLY four-legged]

Re: Furries
Ok so I understand everything now. Yiffs lovers give us a bad name. We should have a fursona and we are viewed as immature. Hahahahahaha. No changes to my life. ROFL. Well now when ever someone says "Your acting like an animal" I can just retort with "Thats because I'm Furry to the core, not to mention I have a better imagination then you"
Matter of factly God is Furry to. He is viewed as the Lamb right? Heh heh.
Well sadly my fursona my never come to drwing, as Im a terrible artist. I can do poetry and writing sure, but not drawing etc. :-[

Re: Furries
No more like story's. Speaking of which, I was going to write a really epic and expansive story that is, well wouldn't ya know? Completely Furry. Haaha. Its a war story, that basically tells of a possible future. A sad and odd one yes, but interesting? Oh yeah. Im starting to think I may start writing it. If anyone wants to main setting then just ask. Mostly fans of Halo might like it, but who knows?
Yeah I can picture my fursona all right, but im nowhere near a good enough artist to draw it. My story would explain it best.

Re: Furries
Well I suppose mine is what the race of hero characters looks like in my storyline.
Large 7 foot tall werewolf like beings, with sleek fur and their caniners extend downward out of the top part of their muzzles, at least in the males.
They are more intelligent then humans, and they manage to not look all that frightening so much as they just are an amazement to see.
Not sure what clothing they would wear yet, besides their soldiers who where this armor that isnt full body but more like patches here and there.
My fursona is based on their soldiers, who after having no advantages to their enemys on the ground, where bio-enginnered to have dragon like wings. Sadly these wings were near impossible to protect in battle and as a result they are so scared they cant be used. My fursona's wings are mostly intact but have holes here and there.
well idk who can do all that but oh well. Haahaha

Re: Furries
Hahahahaha, just the dfinition in general. Lol. Now i really do see how much of one I am. Does this in anyway blaspem?? Dear lord I hope not. My pastors on facebook and so is a lot of people from my church. Although I could careless, because i don't think god cares about our fanatasys as long as they aren't..........well..............ew. hahahaha.
It depends on the person. if they get the wrong view about furries and they are very religeous they will think that it is a sin. however just describe the fandom as it is, without the pereverted stuff. I suggest watching this video about presenting furries to the public http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2DSc8GHl5g
Its presented by uncle kage, the chairman of anthrocon.

Re: Furries
What is? If you mean the fandom in general then GTFO. Haters aren't appreciated and will be ignored. If you mean Anthrocon why is it?? It generates over 3 million dollars into the economy, thats important these days. Whats not to admire about that?

This is just plain creeping me out. I feel like theres something I should know or theres something that I'm not getting. Anyways back on topic.
Hahahahaha, its funny, my 9 year old brother is an amazing artist. I think hes gonna draw up my fursona for me
He can draw animals like the devil for a 9 year old. Makes me wonder just how good hes gonna be in the future. I'll post a pick of it when it's done.

Re: Furries

You should know by now that if the post is by Ghakimx, no explanation is required. In other words, no one should've got hung up over that comment - it's clearly a troll commentary.
About furries: I don't have a problem with them at all, although I know many do. Actually, I take that last thing back: I think most people aren't even that intolerant. Most "fursecution" I see is of the joking or sneering nature. Ergo this is simply light-natured attitude, not one of a serious nature like apartheid. It's easy to mock furries because their nature is seen as eccentric from the norm. And the reasoning here is further supported by the fact that many furries complain about being identified in a negative way without accepting the fact that it's simply called facing the music for the choice you make (Stormy's reasoning).
Am I a furry? I don't consider myself one, no. I do enjoy people's furry artwork, and you almost always see my avatar being represented with an animal or the like. So where does that lead me? You can probably say that I'm between the fence. If people do identify me as a furry, I merely shrug it off, not because of shame, but because my neutrality on the issue is enough to have me going on my way without a care.
At one point, I was probably just engrossed enough to be positively a furry. In fact, a past friend of mine drew and interpreted me as a Dragonite, which to this day is a drawing I'm very fond of:

A touch of nationalism too, heh.

Re: Furries
Yeah its a life choice. But there shouldn't be any negative publicity at all. You can't judge a group of people by what a small percentage of them do. Its like getting on the news, posting a comment etc saying that all black people are thugs or gangsters. Or that Christians are total religious hardasses.(im one and Im not, thats the baptists XD jk.)
