Re: Furries
Lets get away from the insult discussion. My fursona is a 4-tailed Kitsune (fox). Black fur with white on the stomach, feet, and hands. So is anyone planing on going to anthrocon this year?

Re: Furries
no. as much as I love furries I don't think I could go to a anthrocon. I've always wanted to go to a animecon though. thats another thing, fursuits. I don't think I would ever wear one. EXCEPT for an Amaterasu one I found on youtube that someone wore to an animecon. it was the only fursuit I thought was cute.
my fursona is this short white-blue kitty. weird thing is I like dogs more than cats but I just suddenly made her and stuck with that. but I guess you could call her a shapeshifter. because there is a feral dragon form, feral cat form, sometimes a sheep or a wolf and a pokemon form(electrike, which I mainly use for my deviant ID). yeah her form just depends on what I feel like drawing.

Re: Furries
I want to go to anthrocon this year but its sortof expensive and my parents would think its a waste of time. I could never fursuit, I would just wear a tail.

Re: Furries
I wouldn't say I have a fursona, nor would I go to anthrocon (I diddn't know it existed till recently). I do however, think that furry art and media is some of the most intresting and intriging I have ever seen. Althoough I'm relativly new to this whole thing (saw my first pict of a cheeta girl a few years back), I would like to refer to myself as a furfan.
Oh yes, you mentioned "yiff". Although some of the protrails in the art is a little extream for anyones tastes, I find some of it painfully humorus... wile other forms are a bit disturbing (my my, you must have a strong stomic to be able look at the images long enough to draw it.)

Re: Furries
there is alot of crazy furry art out there. but then again, there is alot of art in general that gets really crazy. poeple actually seem to forget that. but nonetheless I love furries all the same. and I at first never actually called myself a furry, although all my friends did. After awhile I just decided to call myself one because.. well I have been into the furry fandom for about 4 years, im pretty sure its safe to call myself a furry ![]()
most furries like anthros but I actually prefer feral more than anything. weather they have something as high as human intelligence or if they have something as low as a mindless beast, it dosen't matter to me ![]()

Re: Furries
oh? how interesting :3 I'm boarderline furry o: I've just discovered it recently thanks to a friend and it's drawing me in fast XD I've had a fursona for about 2 years but knew nothing of the fur fandom until recently
I used to prefer feral when I first got into it~ anthros looked strange to me, like furry humans with animal faces, it was weird
I don't have a preference anymore but ferals hold a special place in my heart
yay for somebody posting 'bout furries ![]()

Re: Furries
Nice avatar. I tried that game and failed miserably. I think the cel shade did it for me. my eyes suck against those.
but yeah. I fail to understand bipeds (walk on two legs). I find them iteresting, yes, but I like quadruped. Mixture of both is awesome.

my first question would be: did you play the PS2 original or the Wii version? cus I swear to god, the Wii version (aside from the drawing, which it was perfectly suited for) was bloody murder to play :I that and the cel shading can be a little trippy sometimes XD but that was nice for me, it made it feel more drawn and artsy rather than perfect omfg graphics o:
I don't have a massive preferance between quad and bipeds~ for me, it's hard for me to comprehend Spyro being a biped for example, cus he's always been a quad and so he should stay o:
that being said, films with characters like Balto should never be made biped either, cus the characters would look weird
/endramble XD

Re: Furries
I dont have a PS2 so I palyed Okami on the wii. I loved it but one thing really bugged me. they took the original credits from the ps2 out of the wii version. and near the end of the game you make some sort of symbol of your own and it apprently shows up in the credits. so it dosen't even matter in the wii version because you dont have the right credit scene where you would see the symbol. I didn't figure that out untill I watched the ps2 vesion on youtube. ugh. oh well. still a great game. not many games out there where you actually get to be an animal. I wish I could see more games like that. (another reason as to why I love spyro)

Re: Furries
I have the PS2 version somewhere. The wii would just screw up my arm even more.
Well, my book will be a mixture. (There I go...)
Balto 1 was the best one. The rest sucked. Massively.

Re: Furries
So let me see if im getting this right? If I'm really enthusiastic about fan made drawings of characters like Spyro, or fancy myself as having an imagination so high(mine is so far up that few come close ROFL) as to thinking of myself as such a character then I can be considered a furry? Wow thats epic. I was thinking of some really bad stuff when I saw this thread. Thanks for clearing this up. So if this means what I think it means then I've been a dragon since I was like 5.

Re: Furries
Yeah. Furries don't have the greatest repututaion, but the ones on here seem ledgit. I am just mingling in this thread so I can actually see what that no-yiff side of the furryness is.

utterly agreed D: there aren't enough games where the protagonist isn't human >.> I'd even be tempted to try a war game if I could be an animal (sports... just... never XD)
it's the high concentration of srs bznss human games that just add to the general do not want I show towards modern games
on a random note, don't you think the 'charge' in TLoS: ANB was so weird? that aside, I kinda liked it because the angle made Spyro's horns look more like classic Spyro ;w;

oh man XD yeah, some furs are perverts ._. trust me, I've encountered them, much to my disgust
the majority are just avid animal lovers though, keep that in mind :3 it's the minority that everyone seems to see and shape their opinion using

Re: Furries
I love to draw furries, again mostly feral. I'm not the best at human figures. and this is... probably gonna sound weird but even when I draw anthro furries I don't draw them with any clothes. but its not like I draw any details. im not the only one who draws like that. alot of anthro furries actually don't always have clothes so if you are new to the furry fandom don't freak out XD the person isn't trying to be a sick freak. just thought I'd put that out there
