I mean they can buy Spyro back, re-release Spyro: Year of the Dragon with the cut stuff they left off. They should also re-make Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. Look: http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/action … mode=press
He was going to surf a surfboard, have over 120 dragonflies, 30 levels, Gnasty Gnorc coming back, and levels with "Monsoons and Tornadoes".. MONSOONS AND TORNADOES!!!!

Yes, it would be amazing! Insomniac made the only true Spyro games IMO.

Is it going to happen?

No. Spyro's gone to other developers now, and Insomniac is good enough with Rachet and Clank as is. It just wouldn't happen.

Actually, Activision owns the rights to Spyro now. It's their decision to choose whether Spyro should go back to the old platforming or continue in the LoS universe.

I'm pretty sure Aura24 is right. Insomniac couldn't "buy Spyro back"; Activision would have to hire them or something. Insomniac never owned Spyro in the first place; they were just the developers.

I'd love it if Insomniac would develop Spyro again, but they won't; they have Ratchet and Clank to work on. I'm sure Insomniac isn't the only developer that could do a fantastic job returning quality and platforming to Spyro, though.

Hmph. I do not see effort in their R&C work, according to Size Matters. It sucked even at hardest difficulty. Anyway, you are true, I guess. But isn't there some way to get spyro back because they actually made him?

I like the old Spyro games... But they were only good for their time. I'm not talking about graphics, but it was a simple platformer. Too simple. I mean, nowadays people like complicated games. Games that make you think for yourself.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the old games, but do you really think the general public would really want to get something like that?

I do, It was just that 10 years ago, everyone was exerimenting with 3d platformers because of the inspirtation super mario 64 gave them, and the face taht platformers were the best way to move around a world and create a nice evironment. The market, imo, wasnt the main reason why people made those kind of games, they were just "the games to make". People these days are hungry for 3d platformers, Its just that the reboot was an idea that the producers thought up to experiment with the series, to try something different. As no one at the time could make games as great as the original trilogy. Which made the old series irrelevent.

But Now, the TLOS trilogy is over. The experiment went well, and gained a stong fanbase within the 3 games. but activision have basicly come to a full stop when it comes to TLOS, and there are many ways they can return to the better old series, which much more potential.

Insomniac...4 years ago, or even 2 years ago I would say there is no chance they would come back. But it has been nearly 10 years and ratchet and clank has nearly lived its life. If activision want a team to revive old spyro, insomniac would be perfect, so they would want insomniac. And if insomniac were to ask activision about making a new spyro game, activision would be pleased to have such great developers as insomniac working for them. Insomniac doesnt NEED to "buy spyro back" if they can simply ask activision to let them make a game for them.

However, Insomniac had felt that developing with a company such as universal/vivendi/activision was a mistake, and sont was a much better producer (more money). Insomniac were not accepted by sony until they made the original spyro trilogy, which was why they developed ratchet and clank with them.

I completely agree with you. besides Blizzard will kick butt wink I trust they will put out amazing Spyro games. I mean, look at World of Warcraft. not that it will like WoW or anything.

Well Insomniac come back? I highly doubt it. Like Ratchet and others said, Insomniac doesn't need to "buy" Spyro back. If they can strike a deal or be persuasive enough, then they can make the game for Activision/ Blizzard.

However... just because we have Insomniac back doesn't mean we'll get a great Spyro game. Allow me to clarify: its been awhile since Insomniac has made a Spyro game... its possible that they may have lost their touch for this kind of game... possibly. All I'm saying is, be careful what you wish for in this case.

Now for the whole Blizz thing... personally I don't think that's bad... Blizzard does take a while to release a game... but as far as I know they are really good at PC games... I don't know any console game they done recently or ever so... ALso they have a killer cinematics team, just look at their new game for SCII (StarCraft 2). However if Blizzard is going to make a Spyro game then its more than likely going to be an MMORPG... not a bad way to go, as this "can" rank in some dough. However how it will be and how it all tie together and what realm will it be influenced on (Old, middle, or TLOS) is up in the air. Also I don't think Spyro has a big enough fan base for it...

All in all, what I want, is the same level of passion, creativity, and drive that the old Spyro games had when they were developed. TLOS, well a little unoriginal attracted people who liked it, so it wasn't a total failure... but it left this guy yearning for the originals again.

They should especially re-do ETD, and try using the old model of Spyro. (After cleaning it up, smoothing the edges and such... but not too much. XD)
I wonder if Insomniac is smart enough to listen to us...
So what if Spyro can't hold a gun, big whoop. Buy him back and make him like he used to be before the world explodes into oblivion! (Okay, that was over-dramatic. XD)

They COULD make Spyro hold a gun since dragons could stand on their hind legs in the original series, but I'd save that for Agent 9. It would be cool if we had a Matrix-themed level for him.
