Re: Christmas!

I've never experienced a hail storm, fortunately. What's it like? How deadly is it? How much damage does it usually cause?

Re: Christmas!

Well it depends on the size of the stones, I was in a few hailstorms, small hail stones doesn't hurt. The biggest ones we had were the size of brussel sprouts and they stung

Re: Christmas!

We had ones the size of peas yesterday, and add to that the fact that the wind is blowing in off of the North Sea and they were coming in thick and fast. They bloomin' hurt, I was fetching a chinese with my brother at the time, we picked up a hailstone and showed our mum to prove the size and then tried to beg for sweets seeing as we had just run a gauntlet for her... It didn't work. Though the largest we've had is about brussel sprout size too; that's about enough to chip car windscreens if its windy.
The only reason that we got even the slightest layer of snow yesterday was because of the hail... But it's alright now though, I've just woken up and everything is white! YAY! big_smile

You haven't felt cold until you've walked down by the River Thames.

Re: Christmas!

Li'l note: Almost 5 Days before Christmas, -11 degrees centigrade, still snowing. Tonight and tomorrow they exspect even a small, what you can almost call snowstorm: Temperatures around -8 to -10 and wind speeds of 6 BFT. I suppose we will get a white christmas this year! *cheers*

Wonderfull btw, how people during EG WWII stopped fighting and even dined with their enemies at christmas. Is it that important?

Re: Christmas!

We got some snow here in New York, but it didn't stick, and it was too shallow to play in.

EDIT: Forget what I said, we're getting a crapload of snow. Too bad it didn't snow like this on a weekday...

Re: Christmas!

Okaaaay well I'm going to get back on the subject to Christmas

I think I have a few ideas of what might be under the tree right now for me

One's the shape and size of a book that I want called One Stormy Night

There are a few CD shapes;; I had about two pages of CD's I wanted on my list so I have no idea which ones they are (I better get Circa Survive and Dashboard fersure though)

And one's a DVD shape, and I'm assuming it's either 10 Items or Less, Yes Dear, or Friends. C:

Re: Christmas!

My parents don't put Christmas presents out until really early Christmas morning when everyone's sleeping, so no one has any idea what they're getting.
