I might've bought it but it got banned here in Australia. However, the 'reduced' version runs 40% faster and only changes minor things big_smile (only avaliable in Aust. unless you order online smile )

I'm so getting it, I loved the first one. Do you still have the special zombies, like the Boomers, Hunters, etc or did they change them?

They changed some of hte models, but they are still there (Smoker has two tumors, etc, etc.)

Left for dead 2 is one of the... BEST games I have ever played. Ellis is my favorite out of the new 4 survivors. the campaigns are the best I've ever played in my life of playing video games... (that's saying something)

they have sencored it down sooo much
because of ESRB ratings and crap

I'm soo disapointed ..
it's still good

It's a great game, online lags sometimes but otherwise it's a great game.
Got almost every achievement on it now. If anyone wants to play me sometime my gamertag is SladenDeadite.

There is no such thing as complete media freedom even in US. Also this isn't about "media freedom" since it doesn't deal with the media wink . It's the government "protecting" the people of Australia from such harmful games like L4D2 o.

The Australian government finds the game too gory and won't release it here. The same happened with Manhunt (which never got released) and one of the Fallouts due to being able to kill children.

Manhunt was released in South Africa but it was banned at a later stage due to some murder case, they also tried to ban SlipKnot for a school killing

I got it for my birthday, an im Australian which obiviously equal = crap

it does not feel the same with everything censored out.
I never use the chainsaw because it feels like playing morrowind with zombies (You feel no vibration and it looks like your not hitting anything at all)

at first I was going to make a L4D2 thread untill I noticed there already was one so I just HAD to bump this back up. I am seriously addicted to this game. I got it for christmas and I didn't play it much at all. Then later I started playing with some friends and the more I played it the more it grew on me. now for the past month I have been going crazy over this game. Hell, I even stoped playing Divinity 2 because of it (its not a great game but its fun and you get to change into a dragon).

I NEVER thought I would be addicted to a zombie game. NEVER!! but I think what really makes me love this game is the special infected. it really makes the game unique. I adore the Hunters. and I think Smokers are really cool too. I like the Witch as well when she's not clawing my face off. I never played the first game but I plan on buying it sometime soon. also, Ellis is awesome big_smile

I played the other day. I want to again, but I am the only one of my friends who plays it on the Comp. I may get it for the 360 so we can run away from the smokers.

I also enjoy spitter sniping. I killed EVERYONE with it. IT was great.

I so wanna play it, I've played Left 4 Dead which was one awesome game. It sounds like Left 4 Dead 2 is equally awesome!

ah yes, it's so much fun. I play on the 360 and I was lucky to end up in a group of 3 people who play together and now we all team up to play versus. its perfect since teams can only be up to 4. The game really relies on teamwork. So the sooner you find some buddies to team up with the better. and of course before you play versus try to make sure you played all of the campaigns or else your team mates might just boot you. also get to know how to play infected as well. I tried looking up as many tips as possible before I started playing versus.

Hunters - only use against a survivor who strayed from the group, a survivor that is trying to come back to save a team mate from another infected, or if there is panic. you need absolute patients. Hunters are very special though. When passive (not crouching) they dont make any noise which makes it easier to sneak up on a survivor. - Hunters will keep a survivor pinned untill killed, shoved off, or pinned survivor is dead.

Boomer- basically you need to ambush the whole group, puke on all of them if you can, and if there is no where to hide afterwards try to get close to someone who hasn't been boomed on and see if someone will kill you causing a splash of bile onto the survivor.

Smoker - high places is key! but also try to hide near an obsruction, because when the team tries to save their team mate you want to try to be in a spot where they can't shoot you and have to be forced to break the tounge instead. - Smokers will keep survivors ensnared untill killed, pushed back, tounge broken, or ensnared survivor is dead.

Spitter - best used on a helpless survivor that is incapacitated, boomed on, or being attacked by another infected. stay from a far distance, the spit can reach a long way. also when you play in a round with gas cans, spit on the gas cans to catch them on fire. that way it destroys the gas can and may even hurt a survivor if they are near it.

Charger - best used in narrow hallways or near ledges. in narrow hallways you will charge through the whole team while grabbing a survivor on the way. the team will be knocked back giving you a couple seconds to do major damage to the survivor you grabbed. if survivors are near ledges or rooftops use the charger to knock them off. yes this even means ledges that will cause you to commit suicide. because you can respwan, the survivor can't. (unless there is a colest of course) - Chargers will not let go untill dead or survivor grabbed is killed.

Jockey - like the hunter the jockey should be used with patients. try to grab survivors that lag behind and take control of them. once you do this try to force them behind an obsrtuction giving you time to do more damage. or force them over a ledge. they will either hang from it or go completely off. - Jockeys will not let go of a survivor untill pushed off, kill, or grabbed survivors health becomes low enough that they become incapacitated. meaning you should avoid dragging the survivor near other infected, especially ones that are already busy with another survivor. because when incapacitated, they can still shoot.

that was alot to write @_@ I'm not sure if I got that entirely covered but I know I got most of it.

I hate how in the 2nd one, all of the other infected becides the new ones are more or less useless.

yeah, apparently jump range, tounge range and even vomit range was reduced in L4D2 sad but I can somewhat see why. In the first one I noticed there were alot of highplaces. the 2nd one spent the majority of the time low on ground level.

I love l4d2. Its everything the first one should have been. However, the only things I hate about it is that it is that there tends to be a merciless amount of lag for me and i praise the moment that I get two bars, and that there are so many people who suck at it and there is little team work. Its freakin awesome when you got a party going but its watered down when you got a room with only two mics and people who don't use their abilities effectively. And then there are the people who like to rush and leave everyone behind because they think they can outrun the special infected.

i just being me buy most games for the sake of finding flaws

now i've found some thing very intresting thats wrong with the first and second L4D i'll explain now

we can all agree when you shoot a car with an alarm there is 2 out comes
the first being you get full *bleep*ed and have to start over
the second you just make itthrough to see the end of the day

right the car flashes and makes noise...i ask what else doe's this

the pipe bomb...it makes noise and has a small blinking light then explodes

what i can't work out is how they've miss such a huge mistake

you throw a pipe bomb and all the zombies etc go after the pipe bomb and not you...your then safe

how ever shoot the car and it makes noise...and take note that they don't go a munch on the car but you insted

surely if they're atracted to a pipe bomb they would all so be the car!

make sence?

and on top of that i'm suprised no one has noticed the game cover giveing every one the 2 finger salute
