Ophelia examined this necklace carefully. It was indeed beautiful and shiny. But her hidden instinct kicked in again. "Right then. Does it power all of us up or just you?"

Why do I feel like this is a bribery? Ophelia thought, troubled. But he does seem pretty serious about this. But are we just being led into a trap?

She looked at the necklace again and frowned. "Prove it."

"Well when we get to this village, there's likely to be trouble. I'm sure you are aware of all these attacks right?" He could be the one behind it... She thought bitterly. "Try it then."

Ophelia felt no different. Her suspicions rose, but then she thought, Well I can't accuse him of lying yet. Guess I'll have to wait until I use my ice again...

She looked at him. "OK then, let's find out. The village is getting closer." She said as the sound of panic hit her ears.

She thrust her head at Pridewing. "And how could I not be suspicious of you? Of course I am, you nearly killed me!"

She huffed and turned away. She sniffed the air. The all-too familiar scent had returned. "Guys come on." She said, "Lets move--"

Suddenly, something leapt out of the undergrowth snarling and landed on her back. Before she could even react, it bit into her neck, right where she was bitten before at the village. As a result, the pain was immense and she reared and screamed in agony.

She tried to turn and grab her attacker, but its grip on her neck was getting stronger. She tried to open her mouth and breathe ice, but she could hardly breathe herself. Everything was blurred, and she felt hot liquid drizzle down her neck and onto the ground. She was certain at any moment her neck would snap and that'd be it... The bandit's grip was stronger yet.

Then she felt like she was falling and everything went black...

((OOC: Sorry I just thought we could do with some action. And Ophelia is gonna have some sort of flashback while she's unconscious.))

((OOC: Carry her to the village perhaps? And fight the bandit? I just thought it could use some action. They've been talking for ages (not that I found that boring! XD). And also this is a good way for me to make Ophelia have her flashback. I hope you guys are OK with that. If not, I'll edit my post.))

Ornlu whistled as he saw the scene, "Oi, not cool." he said, hitting him hard in the head with his tail, "Think you can take him? Sleeping beauty here left us for the moment and needs to get somewhere better." he said, picking her up and placing her on his back while the bandit was still stunned.

Ophelia could hear male voices around her, but it sounded like they were miles away. They just echoed and she couldn't even figure out what they were saying.

Then she felt someone pick her up and walk away with her. ...Is this a friend... or a foe? She thought weakly, then her senses faded again.

Ophelia could hear more voices, but they were not familiar to her. She felt like she was floating... ...Is this it? Her mind whispered. Am I about to leave this world? But then she saw her past through her eyes as a child...

She was underneath a bed in someone's home. There were no longer any screams, no cries for help... no nothing. She was shaking, sobbing and covered in blood, but she was not sure if it was her own blood or someone else's.

Small and vulnerable, she had no choice but to hide until it was all over. There was no way she could've survived those masked beasts...

Silence. Nothing more, nothing less. "...Daddy?" She whispered softly. "It's OK, I'll find him." She was about to crawl out from underneath the bed when she heard footsteps. And cold voices.

"Are they all gone?"

"Yes master. We killed them all."

"Good. We cannot let them interfere any longer."

Ophelia watched two figures in the mist. They started to speak quieter, and she could make out what they were saying... Suddenly, one of them vanished in a puff of black smoke. The other stood still for some time, staring at the ground around him, littered with bodies and saturated with blood. After a while, he outstretched his wings and flew away.

Ophelia crept out from underneath the bed and went outside. Nightfall was approaching, and the air was thick with fog and smoke. Bodies lay all around her, but she was only searching for one in particular.

"Daddy?" She called. No answer. She searched for the body of a large brown dragon, but there was nothing. Just innocent citizens of her little village she once called 'Home'.

She lay on the ground and covered her head with her paws and sobbed. "DADDY?!"

((OOC: Vist, it's up to you whether those two dragons were Zith and Varnok or not.))
