Re: General Discussion IV
Well Swaffy, I don't see how a lot of things people do these days are fun.
For example, playing eight million different videogames where you're in an army, or killing monsters/zombies.
I happen to have lots of fun just from being in my own house...
lots of people have their own ideas of fun so...
Everyone knows I only eat Cynder fangirls.

Re: General Discussion IV
IMO Swaffy that's a pretty narrow viewpoint to such a broad term. I see where you're coming from, but you could've probably reworded what you said to address "basement dwellers" or some other group. Clearly a lot of people go to the movies as a gesture to invite friends for some entertainment. Sure the watching of a movie isn't face-to-face interaction, but that's hardly indicative of poor choice for social engagement as your definition of fun would imply.
ie. your statement's far too broad
You'd be surprised at how many people love to spend their time outdoors.

Re: General Discussion IV
Company of Heroes is the best RTS IMO (although others would say Starcraft). TW series has died ever since they can't code a proper Diplomatic AI since it doesn't recognise Alliances or relations.
Anyone else looking forward to Cod4.2?

Re: General Discussion IV
Real life ? I haven't thought of it yet...
No , just joking , I love hang with some friends in the town...Annecy is close in bus , it's a pretty rich town when it's about patrimony : we have a big castle and a so good looking old town around...even old stores in there , we can even say picturesque...rich but old houses around , I love this town.
And even in money it shines , in the recent town side , where I live , but we don't see this money in our pockets...they prefer to keep it safe from mind-less (or not ?...) guys like our dear neighbour maybe...
Who's this guy ? He like to auto-mutilate himself and to launch strange looking products to everybody's car and after to call the police against us , a guy that we love in our street...this guy's invincible , nobody succeded in getting him out of there , they all change of house to avoid this guy at all costs...
Someone in my famiy had to go in front of justice because of this guy , even if nothing was done , even if they were no real evidence , he had to pay WITH the neighbour , no prison but that's less money in the house and a criminal record...good stuff for justice after all , Joli coup double , Chapeau l'artiste.
Have you got good neighbours then ? The other neighbour I have is pretty nice , an old wowan with his iconic big black cat...she's so nice with everybody...big contrast with the other one , huh ? You need everything to make a world.
(Oh , another long post...I really can't make shorts posts as I can see.)

Yes, I came back and read my previous post ... and I'm not so happy
about it either. What was going through my head was differnet. I was in a
judgemental mood. An "everybody sucks" mood. Which I shouldn't be.
I agree with what you said.

Re: General Discussion IV
So does anyone like strategy games?
Here, I will list all the strategy games I own, and you can decide whether or not I like strategy games.
Command and Conquer: The First Decade (Has all games and expansions up to Generals and its expansion)
Age of Empires
Age of Empires 2 and expansion
Age of Empires 3 and 1 of 2 expansions
Real War
How many of these games do you play, btw?

Re: General Discussion IV
I have Command & Conquer: The First Decade as well. For some reason, though, it's complaining about all my serials being invalid, so I can't play online...

Re: General Discussion IV
Is C&C: First decade the first one? I'm too lazy to check. And since we're on RTS games ... Anyone played Empire Earth?

Yeah I use to play the very first one. Didn't get into the later ones they released though.

Re: General Discussion IV
Love strategy games.
I own not very much of them, but I can list some of em:
Age of Mythology (+exp)
Age of Empires 1 and 2 (+all exp)
Fire Emblem
Yu-gi-oh WC 08+09 (yes, I think it depends very much on strategy)
Battleforge
The Settlers 5: HoK (+exp)
I believe I had C&C as well...

actually, C&C: the First Decade is just that: all their games and expansions from the first decade. here are all the games in it:
Command & Conquer (first game)
Command & Conquer: Red Alert
Command & Conquer: Renegade
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2
Command & Conquer: Generals
plus all the expansions. does this clear things up?

Re: General Discussion IV
Yeah man. So its just a "Battle Chest" or a "multi-pack". Anyone else noticed that Creative Studios is trying to cash in some more money by puting Empire, Medievil 1&2, Rome and Shogun in a pack?

Makes no sense, the Empire Earth game has nothing to do with the Total War series.

Re: General Discussion IV
Unless you were referring to another Total War game I don't know about yet, but Empire Earth is what I thought you meant with Empire, which is totally unrelated to the other games.
