Is anyone getting 'Brisingr', the third book in the Inheritance cycle? (sequel to Eragon & Eldest)
Can't wait 'til it is released on 21 September! (well, in Australia anyway). I'm interested in seeing if the dragon, Saphira, gets to find a suitable mate, and what happens to Murtagh. Is anyone else getting the book?
Feel free to PM me anytime if you wish to talk, even if its just to randomly say hello

[sub]I'm going to read it. Probably not the day it's released, as I don't have copies of the other books anyway, but I'm still pretty excited.
In the meantime, I should probably reread the first two so I can remember what happened.... [/sub]

I thought it was going to be called Glaedr, but yeah, I'm getting it. I've gotta reread the first two though, it's been so long... Brisingr, isn't that the name of Eragon's sword? I can't remember.

The name of his sword was Zar'roc.
In the books, Brisingr is a magic word for fire, IIRC...

It is also the first magic word that Eragon spoke, and the first one he used to weild magic. The word means a lot to Eragon really.

Yeah, the training is a bit boring. But the fight at the end is good and reveals some surprising secrets. But I won't tell you here.

Re: Is anyone getting 'Brisingr', the third book in the Inheritance cycle? (sequel to Eragon & Eldest)
Of course I'm going to get it! Despite what some people say about it being a complete rip-off of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc. it's not. It uses some things, but come on, since when do authors always come up with original ideas for everything that happens in the book? They always use something from previous authors, titles, etc. But yes, I'm definitely going to get Brisingr.

It amazes me how World of Warcraft takes many ideas from Lord of the Rings, yet people aren't saying "z0MG! WoW RIPPED OFF OF LOTR!!!!!!!!!1111111SHIFTONEONEONEONEONE

I really liked the first book, but when I read the second, I couldn't really stay interested. All the different names in that language just started molding together, and I forgot what they were talking about.

Eldest was a little confusing, I had to keep going back and looking up all these weird names and stuff...
The name of his sword was Zar'roc.

Oh, I remember now! Thanks guys. I'm looking forward toward the next book. I am so pumped. As much as I was waiting for the seventh and final Harry Potter book. And I am actually twice as excited as I should be. I am now waiting for Brisingr, and the third book to the Inkheart trilogy, which I believe is called Inkdeath. If I'm wrong about the name of the final book, someone tell me.

WoW like most fantasy RPGs "borrows" a lot from LoTR and DnD, pretty much all fantasy uses concepts which originated from Tolkien's works
WoW however parodies more than it "rips off" ive been told about the whole inheritance/star wars similarities, and i can admit they have a point, however just because the main theme of the story isnt original doesnt mean its not a good book.

You'll have to wait a VERY long time Thundersoul...... Since its been extended to a trilogy Christopher Paolini has another book to write. And I doubt he will start doing that until all of his tour etc for Brisingr are finished.

OMG!!!
I'm so excited for Brisingr!!!! I've read the first two books so many times!!! Now, though I sometimes skip the training to the Roran chapters since I know what happens anyway.
I really want to know what happens with Eargon and Arya!!! Was anyone else completly saddened when Arya says they cannot be together!!!!???
Can't wait for BRISINGR!!!!!!
