In lieu of all the "some people believe" threads, I'm starting this thread as the one where all those crazy beliefs of the world can be shared and discussed. We don't need five, six, seven "some people believe X" threads. This is now the place for all those.

Please, if you made one of the other threads of such nature, move the contents of your post here. That way we have a uniform thread and not a scad of them across the board.

This is a Spin-Off of the Flat Earth Society. It's not that active, but it's their perfect logic that if Earth is flat, other planets will be flat too! Brilliant! Diamond-Sparkling Brilliant!

Now this is odd... I found a website that claims the moon is a hoax! It's a government conspiracy like in "Flat Earth Society." Wow.
Well, no offense, but I seem they are dizzy.

It could be a hologram, projected from various government installations throughout the world. It could be a large, crudely painted balloon, held in place by helium and propelled by tiny sails and rudders (which is why it moves across the sky so slowly). Or, most likely, it could have been different things at different times and different places, depending on the technology available to the conspirators and the culture and beliefs of the population being deceived.
The hoax could easily have been imposed on a gullible world at many points in human history. Perhaps it began as a collective hallucination or a religious myth, or perhaps an especially bright star that came to be exaggerated over time. However the moon story started, early proponents of the hoax were swift to recognize how it could be exploited for their benefit, and shrewdly devised a scheme to use it to their advantage.

I have seen this on the Discovery Channel. They claim that the end is predicted very precisely. Pfft. I don't believe in this so I'm stopping my typing here.

I think the whole 2012 thing is crap. I don't see how the world can just suddenly stop. This generation shouldn't be worried about the world ending anytime soon. It'll be the next few who should be somewhat worried.

This is just in! Teachers are now to carry guns because they are assaulted by students! Wow! The only way to control the kidz is by fear! Now that IS STUPID! Heh, they say it is to protect against school shootings BUT at what cost? Will the teacher lose his/her/its mind and start killing kids? That will make the problem worse!
