Yeah, Al-Qaeda got a new leader, but who here really thinks he's going to do the same as Osama did? It would be tough to not feel grief if you kill over 3,000  innocent people in one day. I doubt the new leader would have another attack commited at such a magnitude without feeling sorrow.

It's in out bible too. I'm not a very religious person because that is something thy bothers me. In our bible too it says it's good to die in Jesus's name. Same thing for Muhammed. I'm not saying anything towards you Jazz it's jut that people Believe muslim's are all radical terrorists. That bothers me. It's an idiotic stereotype that's ruining our country. Their even trying to pass a law forbidding Sharia law in this country. I'm not for any religion controlling this country buy it seems that we are trying to forge a theocracy here. Which I believe will kill our country. Things like global warming were silly things to argue about when the answer is to simply clean our planet which I don't believe is a bad idea or gay marriage which should be legalized by law and religion can keep their rules. I'm just worried that people are only caring about themselves and not our country as a whole.

Now back on the subject, I do believe they feel something. I had a class studying pschology. People forgive themselves faster if someone else did it. The new al Qaeda leader won't strap a bomb on himself obviously. The man also believes he is doing a just cause because the Quran says so but I see them like the westboro baptist church here. A bunch of burkina abusing religion. It's hard to start a war but do it in the name of god and watch how many people follow you. I see them doing this just because they hate us. Their just using religion to gain followers to make their cause just.

Dang, that IS creepy. Well, it was because Jewish people don't believe in Jesus, but I doubt Hitler believed in Jesus, or he wouldn't have done all that mass murder.

Don't worry about offending anyone. You didn't say anything that would cause anyone with an ounce of common sense to take offense. I only said I wanted to avoid religion and politics because they're technically banned subjects on this forum.

I skipped over the article a bit because it was kinda biased, but from looking at the sources it looks like all they're doing is prohibiting it from being used in court, where it shouldn't even belong in the first place. Why they would need to do this is anyone's guess; religious laws are never used in court anyway. I don't see how this is any kind of threat or what use those laws would be seeing as separation of church and state is already in place. =/

They can have an effect, yeah, because they are run by humans, many of whom have religions that influence the way they think. But I'm pretty sure directly applying any kind of religious law in federal courts would fall under the category of the government "establishing a religion."

This was never about "borrowing laws," though; it's about using the system of Sharia law in courts. Even if some laws are influenced by religion, no one in court pulls out a Bible to decide what someone's sentence should be, which is essentially what they're trying to stop here, or at least that's how I interpreted it.

Nope. Hitler didn't hate the Jews for their religion. He hated them because of three reasons:

1. They owned the banks, markets, and gold. He was crazily jealous against them. They usually only hired other Jews, so they received the jobs before anyone else did, and considering the state of Germany then, it was no wonder why people were easily corrupted to agree with him.
2. He believed that the Treaty of Versailles was helped created by Zionists to recreate middle eastern (and some european borders) to give the Jews Israel at the expense of Germany's wealth. I believe Eichmann was the one that convinced him of this?
3. He wanted to create the Aryan race (blonde hair, tall, blue eyes, straight nose, low-medium body build), and the Jewish usually resembled the complete opposite of that (they generally looked pretty similar due to the Jews only marrying within their communities).

Hitler did have reasons. He wasn't a psychopathic murderer. He was a sociopathic madman. Just like Osama, who also had reasons to kill.

Israel is perhaps our closest ally, and they are on what's known as the "promised land".  Islamic radicals and Jews/Christians both want the land.  We Americans get in the way, so we are a target.

It's not just the US they dislike. It is every Western country in the world. That is most of Europe too. They dislike how we gave Israel to the Jews. That place is the center of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. Most of Islam didn't like that decision, and a few formed terrorist groups for that reason.
