Re: Facebook's news feed algorithm makes no sense.
believe me, i *use* facebook and you have a lot of good reasons to despise it, Mr. John. i sort of have to use it i guess though, it's the only way i can reasonably communicate with certain people.
and yeah, facebook's news feed makes no sense. it's not quite that bad with me, but i do often get updates when people so much as comment on a page. i remember having to follow someone because facebook randomly stopped showing their posts, even though i have no problem with that person. on the other hand, i had to hide mostly *everything* from a couple other people because they post so much stuff i can hardly even scroll past all of it. facebook in general is a trainwreck.

I don't know how they figure out what people will like. It makes me hesitant to say to hide something I dislike because it might hide someone else posting satire of the same thing.

Yeah. It puts games that I never even played into my app box.

Re: Facebook's news feed algorithm makes no sense.
This is why I never use Facebook. It's a good way to talk through PM's and chat bu that's about it.
Someone might be completely normal in real life, and obnoxious on Facebook. I just don't need to know every little thing about your life, thanks. Plus I don't think anyone needs to see when I 'like' something or like your situation, just posting some random stuff. Not to mention looking through settings is a complete nightmare.

Face book scares me! Like no joke! I made a parody account with my friend (and any other website I'd be fine with this) but I was just so scared of it uploading info about me without me knowing xD

Re: Facebook's news feed algorithm makes no sense.
I'm kind of like Paranoia in a way bout the entire thing. I don't need social media to keep in touch with someone if I want too I'll just talk to em face to face, If not then well it's what it is. And I don't need to have information about stuff I don't like uploaded. So I'm glad I ain't ever gonna use that site.

Same reason YouTube seems to want you to watch videos from the most popular channels, as if they need more views. What about the good videos made by fairly unknown people?
