Re: "Console war" continuation
Yeah it plays the games fine but when it comes to other things (reedeeming codes for example) it screws up. I havent played Crysis on steam but I do admit that the connection drops every now and then but it allways corrects itself with a simple restart.

Re: "Console war" continuation
And the fact that Steam limits me to 1MB/s of my 10MB/s. Which is annoying. GFWL hasn't messed up any of my codes, weird. Be glad you didn't play Crysis especially when you don't have a high end rig, the game is terribly optimised. But that's just for the graphics, as for the gameplay it's pretty cool, it's a stealth FPS and requires a LOT of attention to detail.
Also STALKER: Call of Pripyat also has(or had) problems with Steam. Steam only games work fine with Steam, I haven't had a problem with Half Life 2/Portal/Team Fortress 2/Counter Strike: Source.

Re: "Console war" continuation
Here's where Nintendo went right:
The video game industry was in trouble after Atari was riddled with worthless games that left people unsatisfied. So when Nintendo released their NES, they created a system of fair consumer gaming. They called it the "Nintendo Seal of Quality." Basically, if the game wasn't good, Nintendo wouldn't let it sell. This made the NES a high quality system for its time.
Here's where Nintendo went wrong:
The seal of approval was ingenious until Nintendo had it's first competition with Sega. The Nintendo Seal of Quality then became a marketing blockade. Any Sega developers that wanted to run a high quality game on the SNES platform were simply rejected by Nintendo's superiority. Today, I believe it hinders Wii from being a competitive gaming system, because Nintendo has "successfully" separated themselves and their own franchises (Zelda, Mario, Kirby, etc.) from the rest of the gaming industry. Wii isn't losing the console battle. It's hard to lose when you're by yourself.

Re: "Console war" continuation
Basicly, There is not one bad console out there. It's all up to the player's point of view.
And in my point, the best console is the computer. Unless you not want to count that then for me it'll be Xbox 360. (Due to games on it)
This is all I am saying. As for the GameCube, never really got one or used one so idk much about it.
