Is anyone else having a problem with posts being marked as unread?
I've noticed that posts I've already read will sometimes go back to being marked unread. It happens when I switch between devices and sometimes when I close and reopen my browser.
KingLambda is having this problem as well, but I'm wondering if it's just something on our end or if anyone else is having it.

I'm also having this problem, although I usually don't rely on the mark; I just go to whatever post I feel like going to if someone recently posted in it regardless.

Re: Is anyone else having a problem with posts being marked as unread?
I had not experienced this as of yet. But I tested it by logging on here with Internet Explorer(I usually use Firefox), and your post was marked as unread again. So yes, I'm having the same problem.
Other than that, I have a small opposite issue that has been slightly annoying me since ages ago on the old forum: posts I've not read being marked as read when I visit and leave the site, or stay for too long on the site without clicking any links(I guess this counts as leaving the site). Mostly, it's fine, but when I only have time to read a couple of topics before leaving, most of the rest is lost among the actually read topics :P

I've kind of accepted that that's just the nature of forums. If your session ends before you finish reading everything, they just get marked unread. I don't know if there's anything that can be done about that, unfortunately.

Punbb-based forums save unread data in cookies, and they are not transfered over to other devices as far as I know.

I don't usually have problems with cookies either. It's just this forum.

Well I tried deleting all my cookies, and it's still happening.
I really have no idea; maybe we'll just have to deal with it. I'll do some more searching on this later.

Believe it's a browser caching issue.

Re: Is anyone else having a problem with posts being marked as unread?
Nope, it's definitely not. Cleared my cache, cleared everything, and it still happens. It happens in every browser I've tried, as well. I'm 99.99% sure it's something within FluxBB itself.
Seems like it's not a big issue, anyway; it only happens if you end your session and come back right away. If you wait for a significant amount of time, you won't have problems with this, which is why a lot of people weren't having the problem. Guess I was probably checking the forums too much.

Re: Is anyone else having a problem with posts being marked as unread?
i've had a problem since before we moved everything over with posts i've read still being unread. if it gets too out of control, i just click "mark this section as read" or whatever it is.
oh yeah, and all the new posts being marked as read, though i don't have that problem nearly as often.
