I think that spyro 3 year of the dragon is the best spyro game ever made because it is fun has a lot of worlds then there is the skateboarding and finally you get to beat up moneybags for all of the gems that he has stolen from you and for capturing all of the other Spyro characters like Sheila and all of Spyro's other friends.

Year of the dragon is maybe second best game I've played. Gateway To Glimmer is best.

i think Ripto's Rage / Gateway to Glimmer is the best just because of the double jump tongue

but yeah, YOTD has more features. if they would have kept going down this path of basically the same formula but with added features, for a few more games, the original series would have been perfect.

For me Spyro YOTD is the best. My favourite challenges are skateboarding, speedways, shooting sheep in Sorceress's Lair and riding the slippery way backwards in Crystal Islands.

I like Spyro 3 Year Of The Dragon it is the first Spyro game I have played.
I don't think it can be considered the best Spyro game *Looks at PS2 and PS3 Spyro games* It doesn't have the graphics but it's a pretty good game and gameplay is great. unless your playing on an HD TV.
The game is huge.
You can play 6 different characters (Spyro Sheilo Agent 9 sparks and more)
And Spyro 3 even has a secret Demo towards Crash Bash. (Press l1 and r2 and start at the same time on the main menu)

Over all it's a good game with a lot of content. It does have out dated graphics.
I will give it a 7.8 .

It is the best, and im 100% sure YOTD inspired Skylanders due to the multiple playable critters. Sadly, Skylanders is junk.

Spyro 3 is the best with content, but the colours, music, atmosphere feels inferior its predecessors.

Well, here we go.....I like the bosses in this game, very scary looking and fun to beat, the soundtrack is my favorite of the trilogy, some mini-games are a blast to play, the NPCs have a lot of charm, the answers you can give to Moneybags and his responses are hilarious, some multiple characters are great.

Now the bad...don't kill me.....Some mini-games are hair pulling ridiculous (Yeti Boxing, Tank Shooting in Haunted Tombs, and that oh so wonderful skateboard race in Super Bonus Round), can't do as many glitch tricks as you could in Spyro 2 (NOTE: This really doesn't count badly towards YoTD, I just like to sequence break.) Some multiple characters (Sgt Byrd, Agent 9) aren't really fun for me. I also feel the final confrontation with the Sorceress is anti-climatic, both of them. There is no cut scene before either fight, and we never see Spyro and the Sorceress interact, speak, etc.

After everything I said, it's still a great game that everyone should get. PERIOD.
