Re: Unknown Dragon Helping Spyro and the Guardians.

Ooh, he's pretty cool-looking.
On topic, I think he's just some random dragon who's fighting by their side. Actually, you see two that look alike, so I'm thinking they're twins. And they joined the good guys to defend Warfang. I don't know, but the idea that the dragons you see are the only ones left alive is ludicrous.
Sure, Cynder and Gaul probably killed many dragons, but how could they honestly get to all the dragons all over the world? Not even Malefor could do that. The ones around the dragon temple and Warfang probably went into hiding, but the ones on the other side of the world probably had no idea what was going on and lived quite peaceably the entire time. XD
That's just what I think. There are still hundreds, maybe thousands of dragons left... the programmers just aren't going to take the time to include all of them.  big_smile

Re: Unknown Dragon Helping Spyro and the Guardians.

Wow, he looks awesome, I reckon that when this war started, the surviving dragons went into hiding to keep safe, until that point where everyone says "hey look, another dragon!!!"

Re: Unknown Dragon Helping Spyro and the Guardians.

Is it just me, or does the blue and red dragon look like a female? I don't know, I just think it's a dragoness... Kind of slim body shape, lack of shoulder blades like adult male dragons tend to have... And the snout has a distinct beak shape like Cynder's, which I think is supposed to be a feature of dragonesses.
I could be wrong, but I swear that strange dragon is female.

Re: Unknown Dragon Helping Spyro and the Guardians.

Don't let yourself be fooled by the creatures' almost dragon-like appearance, it has been mentioned somewhere officially that that creature is in fact not a dragon, I don't remember where it was, but it was an official statement.

It is a dragon. It's a reptile, it has wings, it breathes fire in DotD.

Re: Unknown Dragon Helping Spyro and the Guardians.

But they're still dragons. Whatever official statement you heard, it's possibly wrong. Since the concept art named the character a dragon.

Re: Unknown Dragon Helping Spyro and the Guardians.

They are STILL dragons, dark. Didn't you see the picture I posted?? Dragons can come in different colors alright. Or you're just not too familiar with the dragon art style of a French game company.

Re: Unknown Dragon Helping Spyro and the Guardians.

It's just a minor dragon character alright? Not much is known about them, and that they are actually other dragons who have possibly been in hiding.

Re: Unknown Dragon Helping Spyro and the Guardians.

Okay, you got my attention now.

Depending on how much time has passed, as Eartth years might be longer/shorter there, then that marks the possiblity of Malefor and his army conversing many of the islands. There's still a chance that they manage to hold out for 3 years... heck they could be in caves under the islands for all we know. Wait a second, why did Malefor hold out on using "The Destroyer"?

Elements might not be determind by the dragon's body color unless some sort of ritual or something is performed. Does that answer the fire breathing question?

EDIT: I'm merely speculating.

I don't care how it looks but how it functions

Re: Unknown Dragon Helping Spyro and the Guardians.

Well, there are different kinds of dragons. Wyrms are similar but can't breathe fire, and tend to be smaller. That might be what the strange dragon-creature is. smile

I don't know, the dragon may have a big part in a future game.

Re: Unknown Dragon Helping Spyro and the Guardians.

Terrador / Ignitus / Cyril / Volteer's mother?

-shot-

Actually, I wondered that too ._. I thought it was an enemy dragon at first, but then I realised there are no dragons on Malefor's side apart from him.
