videogames really dong scar me im not sure why an if its after a scary movie the pic sucks so really i think movies are more scary that games or the real stuff if you beleve in supernatural

I've played Silent Hill, and a little bit of Silent Hill 2. But the scariest game I've ever played? Don't laugh- Ecco the Dolphin. Hey, I said not to laugh! Underwater environments are FREAKY, man! Running through the fog and shooting at deformed fetus-looking things? Not scary. Shooting zombies through a pair of crosshairs? Feh. But sharks COMING AT YOU FROM THE DARK, OPEN NOTHINGNESS IN FRONT OF YOU? DARNIT, I'M NOT PLAYING THIS.

...I think I may have just given a bad name to female gamers everywhere. I'm truly sorry. In my best defense, though, I honestly thought Silent Hill was disappointing in the 'scare' factor- I played it for the head-scratching plot and characters. It might've been different if I'd been exposed to it when I was little, but that also might explain why I have a fear of underwater environments- Ecco was the scariest game for me then, too.

System Shock 2, an old game but a f*****g scary game nonetheless, that and maybe RE4, Doom 3 was quite scary too...

BioShock. Demo scared the living crap out of me. This is how.
"Let me search that dead Splicer over there...OH CRAP IT'S STILL ALIVE!!!"

Big daddies are tough to defeat and scary because of it's moans and earth quake boot steps.

I agree with Martial Arts Spyro on this one Bioshock was definitely scarier than Deadspace because of the Big Daddies but also because of Spider Splicers and the guys that appear out of nowhere and shoot fire balls at you" Hey why is that fireball hurtling at me i know i didnt shoot that cus i have a gun with me and OMG it hit me! owwwww fire that son of a BLEEP is gonna die! come here you!" yeah definitly annoying but still pretty scary.But i still like Deadspace the same. Fatal Frame and Fatal Frame 2 are also some good scary games for the original xbox.

Bioshock was like OMG i loved the tommy gun and shotgun and i hated the Spider Splicers o_O

I didn't think Bioshockw as scary. I thought it was one of the best games ever...but not really on the scarey part.

I thought when you encounter the statue splicers, thats REALLY freaky. I mean one moment there still as can be then the next moment, they're slashing the hell out of you.

yeah but still the spider splicers are pretty scary i mean one minute your alone and the next the splicer is in your face and the only chance you have is your shotgun to its head like this:

" im finally away from the craziness!"
turns around and sees spider splicer in his face

"OMG where did you Friekin come from!"
gets slashed in face 50 times

"Owwww!"

Pulls out shotgun

"BLAM BLAM BLAMBLAM BLAAM!"

"its finally dead!!!!!"

I haven't yet touched games like RE, but so far I have to say the scariest game I ever played was Half-Life 2 and its episodes, I hate going into dark rooms and getting either a zombie next to me or being pulled up to a barnacle (trust me, they're not like in the real world). Heck, a few of the games sounds can be pretty startling. Hearing a zombie making its wierd sounds in a dark room can scare the crap out of you. Don't get me started on Fast Zombies, those things have a rather loud scream and they can come at you at 50mph.

And you may laugh at this, but you can expect to jump at this, but DOOM 1-2 scares me at times like opening a door and there's a demon or a Baron of Hell on the other side...and you have about 50-25 health left.

The X-Files game. I forget which one.
I just remember going into a diner late at night as Mulder, seeing some creepy lady sitting at a table, the lady suddenly attacking me, going into a kitchen to see some chef guy facing the wall, then HIM attacking me with a KNIFE, then going out into the alley and getting my leg almost chewed off by a cat. O_O

I got bored and stopped playing after that, but I guess it was zombie apocalypse or something since all three of them were pretty zombie-like. x3

Still, I think the show is scarier.
