Re: Pokémon Go
Got this game a few days ago and am only at level 4 so far, so no team choosing just yet
The first time I went out I thought I might only walk about a km before returning...
Nope! Turns out I went about 6km to the coast and back without food, drink or money on me on one of the hottest days of the year (I drank water from a stream to survive!) Hooray, exercise !
Probably wasted a bunch of 3G though

Re: Pokémon Go
Actually no, this game uses a funny amount of transfer. You could play all day long and not expect more consumption than about 30MB
Never ask what I'd do for a klondike bar. No one wants to go down that road.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Re: Pokémon Go
We bought a battery pack just for this game. We were going to just get cheap ones, but an employee saw me looking at a more expensive one on the wrong display and offered to give us the lower price for it. Turns out he plays Pokemon Go himself. Team Mystic, though.

Re: Pokémon Go
Joined team mystic today (sorry if I betrayed you all)
I also got a battery pack from the company I'm with for work experience so hopefully I'll get to catching 'em all quicker

Re: Pokémon Go
Got an awful sunburn playing this with my buddy last weekend, lol. I feel like I'm pretty behind at level 8, and I also got completely destroyed trying my first gym. I bike and run a lot more than I walk though, so I guess my lifestyle isn't the most conducive to Pokemon Go
I almost bought a battery pack for like 70% off on Amazon the other day (they knew what they were doing) but decided against it. Way too many moving expenses this month

Re: Pokémon Go
I finally got a Pokemon with CP over 1000 - a Pincir I hatched from an egg. I had it at a gym, but this morning it was back. Another gym we captured last night lasted like 15 minutes before someone took it. Probably Mystics, didn't go back to check.
...Any other Valors want to consider Instincts as allies? Seriously, everyone is Mystic; it's ridiculous.

Re: Pokémon Go
finally got a phone that isn't garbage, and i can play this game.
it's pretty fun; so far i've caught about 300 pidgeys and found out that riding shotgun in a car is a lot better than walking. i walked for about 40 minutes and only passed one pokestop and caught one zubat. driving through a town, though, i caught several pokemon and passed a ton of pokestops in only about ten minutes. i suppose it might be because i live in a semi-rural area, though.

Re: Pokémon Go
Yeah I've noticed the closer to more populated city areas, the more Pokemon show up too. Sucks even more for people in rural or suburban areas. I went for a walk around a really popular park and used Incense + Lucky Egg and caught so many... Not proud of it, but I actually ran out of Pokeballs and bought more.
My friend lives in a place with a ton of Pokestops so I love being a passenger when driving around his neighborhood. Only downside is biking and driving won't hatch eggs

Re: Pokémon Go
I did that too but instead of using incense and a lucky egg I just used the lucky egg and went to an area where there were 3 pokestops all in the same little area.
