This is also a reason why I like the Daewoo K2 as an assault rifle. It has all
three features, full, burst, and semi-automatic firing modes.

Wasn't the 44 the first weapon to have two different firing modes? I know
the Browning Automatic Rifle had two different firing rates, but not semi-
automatic.

Thinking of WWII weapons, I would have to say the M1 Garand is my
favorite. You see, I'm not fond of those automatic weapons. I like to
sacrifice fire rate for power.

Even if both fire rate and punch were good on a weapon, I would choose
semi-automatic or bolt-action. Any day.

Yeah, the Mosin Nagants originated in russia and, seeing as so many people seem interested in this rifle, I'll share a little fun fact about this rifle that I found.
When the russians invaded Scandinavia, the Scandinavians were using gurrilla tactics and (guess who) the Mosin Nagant. now, this is not the fun fact. the fun fact is, one of these Scandinavian snipers scored over 500 russian kills in a period of two months. the kicker? the dude didn't like scopes, as they fogged up in the cold weather, so almost all of his kills, he got using THE BUILT-IN METAL SIGHT. how's THAT for marksmanship?

You're a WW2 buff and you don't know where the Mosin Nagants came from? They were developed in the Soviet Union to find an equal equivalent to the German Kar97k which revolutionized bolt action on standard rifles.

Anyways I would have to say that my favorite weapons of all time as a history buff would be the M1 Garrand, the AK-47, the STG-44 (MP-40), and my good old M-16 (prone to jamming if you don't take care of it but that's why you take care of it ^^).

I also like the good old Colt-45, some nice knockdown power to it, and the Scoped Lee-Enfield Rifles were considered the most accurate sniping weapons in the world at one point.

The Mosin Nagrant is a sort of fusion between two old sniper rifle (I haven't their names at the moment , but not recent snipers if you ask me...created before 1900 I think) , extreme precision  , and it's a tranquilisant sniper rifle who shoot one bullet at a time , and have 5 bullet in the cartdrige clip.
I'm French , I'll never own a gun except in a travel in America , so...
But if I could , I'll certainly choose this one or the MK-22  (:)
EDIT : I said one shoot at a time , I wanted to say that you have to reload it every time you shoot...like the MK-22.

But id prefer any dual hand gun. like a socam, or...... *cant remember name of one* What pistal does leon use in resident evil 4? its the first one he starts with.

USNC sniper is still best, though.
