I love all these brain-twister things...
The time paradox. (If you go into the past and shoot yourself, will you cease to exist?) Schrodinger's cat. The 'one-always-tells-the-truth-the-other-always-lies' riddle. All those I love to think about. Makes my brain fry, but in a good way.

Your idea I think is a good one, and actually somewhat plausible in theory. For sure I can't think of a way to disprove it.

more than 2 people would always be asleep at one time though wouldn't they?

oh and yeah this is not supposed to be a real thing either... lol... like a brain twister or what ever... lol

i've thought about that before, actually. only, i didn't connect it to dreaming. i have wondered before - was i born me? or was i someone else and i woke up as this person?

but neotyguy is right, people's sleep patterns are too different. if it actually could happen, everyone would have to be asleep at the same time, wouldn't they?

I think thats actually a really really cool idea, but a little far fetched But its kinda freaky, if every time you slept you died. -shiver-

This can't be true, because we ARE our memories. If we are detached from our memories, then we just become nothing. We would be an entity void of emotion, thought, or imagination.

You also must remember, some people take naps during the day, and some people stay up all night long. There would be way too many people who would be asleep for a long time.

Ok.. let's see if anybody can follow me here.... I thought of this myself in a lot of free time that I had....

ok.. what if every time that you went to sleep you died... but when you wake-up you are in a differnt body... and you have that bodies memorys.... all of the ones from your other bodies are forgotten...

Dreams are you getting transfered to a new body and reciving memeries....

I thought for a while and tried to find a way to prove it wrong.... but I don't think you can?

Anybody else able to figure out how to disprove this?
