I am pretty sure I fried it when I used the internet channel on it. Since the fans only work when a game disc is in it the heat just sat inside of it...... I keep it in a well ventilated area though yeah sucks my 1st home console to EVER screw up and i have at some point owned every nintendo console. Now I have to save up to get another 1 next year.

Wow... What could you have done to make your CPU overheat in a Wii... A Wii! What, did you like put a blanket ontop of it? :-P

The Wii is the least likely of the 3 consoles to overheat... And it only happens if you really don't take care of it or don't keep it in a ventilated space.

Make sure all electronics that can overheat have at least 4 inches of space from everything.

Back on june 2nd I noticed faint vertical lines when I 1st got spyro the eternal night. At first I didn't think much about it but eventually it became annoying when I noticed in other wii games and some gamecube games. I did some google searches and I found out my cpu was fried! Sucks cause I found out the DAY after my warranty expired. >_< So I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them?
