I am very religous and believe without even a hint of a doubt that God spoke the world into existance. First off, my being religous rules out me believing in evolution. Secondly, I don't see how in the world the society we live in today could come about by chance, by accident. It just doesn't seem right. I mean, seriously give it some thought. It is extremely apparent that God planned how he wanted the world created and created it that way.

BUT... what about the eye ...? It's so complex and if its slightly out of shape then it doesn't work at all. So someone has to tell me how the hell a mutation manages to get it exactly right not jsut for 1 creature, but milllions all over the Earth :\

I can explain that:

If your eye is slightly misshaped, it will still work... It just means you need glasses! Yes, that is one of the most common reasons people need glasses.

But so far, we are unsure about how evolution works. We understand most of it, but some things we still do not know. Such as how do the genes change? That is a reason why we have stem cell research, because if we can unlock our blueprints, we can change them and make ourselves smarter, stronger, faster, etc. And we can kill diseases easily.

How does evolution work though? Well let's just say this... There are 2 kinds of mutation; cancerous, and natural. Cancerous is mutation when a cell splits into more cells and the structure changes. This is usually bad because they lose their function and overrun other good cells, and it usually can't be given to offspring. Natural occurs at conception, and this is the most common form of evolution, we still don't know how it happens, but it happens to almost everyone. The small edits in our genes gave us our differences between each other.

When a natural evolution occurs, and it by chance helps an animal survive, then that animal will survive and give offspring, while other animals of their species will die out because they don't have this gene that helps them survive.

Right now, we sort of broke the cycle. Now people that have natural mutations that hinder themselves will still live, and if they reproduce, then their children will have that hindering effect.
