Perhaps Gaul planned on killing Malefor had he survived his fight and got the power that was promised to the apes.

Yeah I guess you make a good point, I do find it kind of odd though how Malefor is a purple dragon and so is Spyro, yet Gaul wants to kill Spyro and not Malefor. I don't know, maybe it isn't that odd.

Who knows....It was really unclear if he was just acting on his own selfish desires or to please Malefor in general....I assume the later....but since he was trying to kill Spyro I guess it's only fair that Spyro would get to try and kill him back lol..

Oh ok, quick question, "Do you guys think Gaul deserved to be killed?" My friend says he did deserve to be killed by Spyro, but I really don't know what to say. This is just an opinionated question by the way.

Don't think that it would have really mattered if he cursed Gaul since he was killed by Spyro anyways in TEN.

Well, the Apes wanted to use Malefor's powers against the dragons for something they did, but Malefor cursed them since they were greedy and weren't really loyal to him.

My guess is that Malefor was just screwing with her head in order to gain some influence over her confusion (which he did).

Simply put once he made her have self doubts about herself a little bit of darkness slipped through that allowed him to gain a degree of control over her.

Can't really say for sure if she was still a bad guy in TEN, though I like that idea. I think she was just doing her think normally and Malefor just screwed with her head to make her believe she was still bad.

You know when Spyro was accidentally hit by the Lunar eclipse and turned into Dark Spyro? You can say he got possessed by Malefor in his fight with Gaul, and was about to turn on Sparx and Cynder until Cynder knocked Spyro out Malefor's control, therefore releasing the Dark Master spirit into the Well of Souls. After the Mountain of Malefor crumbled, Malefor himself emerged out of the debris, alive, to continue what he had started.

And the bit about Cynder luring Spyro to the well of souls, it was part of Malefor's plan to confuse Spyro and Cynder, and he succeeded in turning Cynder back to his control again once she becomes unsure of what she did in TEN.
