I know guys who have saved more lives then Micheal Jackson ever has, so don't dare lecture me on the facts of life and death.

I don't trust pretty much anything that the media has to throw out there, but I take what I'm given and the first thing I worry about is my life. This hasn't drastically affected mine either way and I'm content with that.

If it did to yours then you're the one who has to live with the effects.

Well wasn't that mature. Amazing, you're supposedly the same age as me and you enjoy holding a pitty party for yourself when something happens that you don't like. Sure he's dead, it's sad, now we have to move on.

Seriously, people today run purely on their emotions and most of the time it annoys the heck out of me, but I didn't assume to know ANYTHING about your thoughts if you took the time to read that post instead of just spatting out the first hateful thought that hit your mind the moment you read the first line.

If that's how you want to view things then fine but you better get use to dealing with a lot of crap you don't like in reality. You pretty much just took the first thing that was semi-true and used it to open more of a pitty fest for yourself, which I really don't care if you do or not, just shows that the only one being immature was you.

Anyways I'm about ready to lock this topic soon anyways so if anyone else has anything to add go for it.

P.S. Oh yeah and being OVER-emotional about most things is gonna screw you over in life just so you know.

I just want to point out that some of things he did doesn't make him off his rocker. Back when he was a kid it was normal for ppl to see other ppl buy monkeys. My father is the same age as MJ, he's told me stories of his youth about how everyone was going through a monkey fad. MJ buying a monkey doesn't make him insane, that was just the norm when he was younger.

Atresac, I agree wholeheartedly with what you said, but I must disagree with that last paragraph. that there are some ppl like me who this death has affected in a huge way. We didn't have to meet him, just watching his interviews and watching him perform was enough. Some of us feel as if he was a part of our lives, which in my case he practically made up 2/3's of my life thanks to my MJ supporting family, but for us this is not bandwagon jumping. To us, we lost the only person who could've made the planet better.

Altresac does make a very good point. It's as good as someone becoming a Martyr of sorts when they die even though nobody really thought about it while he was alive anyways...I sure as heck didn't. Anyways MJ was FAR from the most beloved person in the world, I can honestly say that for every person I met who liked him I found two who hated him, so you can't really make that claim without knowing the truth.

We've all heard really bad things about him and good things, and we can't disprove any of the negative ones because as he pointed out none of us knew the guy...but I have plenty of evidence to show that he was just a little bit off his rocker.

Either way he's gone...everyone should just move on with it because people are dying every day, and I'm sure some better ones then MJ was.

I'm sick of all the feigned respect for Michael Jackson people have for him now that he's dead. No one ever acted as if he was as important to them before his death as they are now. This kind of bandwagon concern happens every time a famous person dies. It happened last year when Bernie Mac died and everyone started saying how great he was and how good of a comedian he was when, if he had never died, no one would have paid the smallest bit of attention to him.

Not only is the whole process ridiculous and annoying, but it's the most disrespectful thing to the dead person in the world. You don't only voice your love and affection for them when they're dead. It just doesn't work that way. And it's absolutely fascinating that a simple search for "Michael Jackson" reveals that there was only one single person person on the entire forum who listed him as a favorite artist prior to his death. One person in all of the music/band/artist threads on the site. Taco Goddess, congratulations on actually voicing affection for Michael Jackson before he died.

So all of you, stop acting like this whole ordeal affects you on a deeply personal level. It doesn't. Even if you did "actually" enjoy him before he died, stop grieving and move on. Your relationship with him was thus: he made music, you listened to music. The end. You never spoke with him, you never chummed around with him, you probably never even saw him outside of his music unless it was something involving the charges of child molestation against him. You haven't lost a friend, you've barely even lost music from him considering he has a library of over 100 songs to be released now that he's dead.
