It will be invovled in the universe storyline.

Portal timeline is so messed up it could be in a far future after the events of Half-life 2 or when the combine invaded and Gordon started his quest.

You can't compare Zelda to Cynder.

First of all, none of the Zelda games have a continuous linear storyline from game to game like LoS. Many people expect changes in Zelda.

Third of all, people expect continuity between games of the same type. The reason people were upset when TLoS games came out was because it lacked continuity from the old games, which is why most refreshes end up horrible. Same thing with DotD, the gameplay was changed drastically, and one of those things was Cynder. I can bet you that there are an equal amount of people that dislike Cynder that also dislike the flight, or the boss types, or even Hunter.

LoZ is an exception to the continuity, as is Final Fantasy and other games that change from game to game, because it has the continuity OF changing. It's kind of a deep idea to think of, but that's how most gamers work. One example was Starfox Assault, where many complained of the on-foot combat. It was a great idea, but gamers just don't like drastic new additions to their favorite games.

She's an important character, and they were chained together in the last game.  If one of them were to die, the other would have a very hard time getting to Malefor.

Still would of beaten Malefor but i guess it would of turned spyro into a villain or anti-hero.

Having lose cynder and Iggy would drive him off the edge.

It seems like Estranges Libellules and Activision made Cynder the same
level of importance with Spyro, which is downright wrong. I don't mind the
addition of Cynder, but don't make her a primary character like Spyro.[/cololr]
