This isn't meant to be a glitch, its meant to happen. Also, if you go on your 100% completed game and save onto a different file across all 3, when you restart a game on any 3 of the save blocks, you will start with the Superflame. However, if you want to start with a normal flame, just delete a block and start there. You will only get the permanent superflame if you start a game over the top of your 100% one. Thats why I recommend for example,

Block 1 Block 2 Block 3
100% - -

Go on your 100% game. Go to your menu and save, but choose a new block. Then you won't lose your 100% but you can duplicate it, then save a new game over the top for permanent superflame.

as long as you don't play the game that has super flame first! then there should not be superflame but there are then so random glitches

If you don't have the save file, you fail epicly.

The Superflame isn't a glitch, it is an easter egg, i found it out in one of my dad's cheat books.

You can get normal flame back, ive managed to before, all u do is go onto another save section. I cant remember if that is right or not though its been some time since i played it.

This is a known glitch in Spyro 2. Once you have it, the game is almost not a challenge anymore.

I'm not entirely certain if this is a glitch or something, but in Spyro 2, after I'd beaten the game 100% and gotten the permanent superflame, I started another game on a different file in the same memory card. I started out with the superflame ability; it certainly makes the game easier. I did it again on a different file, still on that memory card, and that too had the superflame from the start.
I've played around with it a bit, and while it sort of kills the challenge, it does make several of the harder events in the game more bearable, like the second Lava Lizard challenge.
