Quite simple. Swear enough to the point where we don't like it then you will be booted. As said before, the censored mode is not active for reasons, but it is open chat for anyone to say what they want. That's why mods exist though...to keep it civilized.

Well then it that case that means this is pretty much sorted, the mods on the chat know the limits i think anyway from what i have seen on there.

Thats right stormy. Also having a "curse limit" would start fights over things like what is a curse word ect.

Its just easier to trust the mods that they (hopefully) use their judgement on these situations.

There is an option for a word censor, but like Kazoobie64 said, it gets annoying because it censors things like "muffins" ("[censored]ins") and "cucumbers" ("cu[censored]bers"). Usually ops will kick people who curse too much, but I think the rule is that every now and then is OK.

I never meant that. Of course I was referring to Aicebo.

Now I'm rather against this, since it restricts the nature of a "chat". It's kind of an unwritten rule that forums are generally more formal that a chatroom would be, and I wouldn't want to have too much formality within chats introduced.

Yes, censoring is possible. From my experience it replaces certain words with "." I really hate that option though because when the chat I go to had it, it would even censor it out when it was placed within another clean word. For example, "Josie and the Pussycats" would come out as "Josie and the cats."

It's just better not to use the censoring option and just have moderation for swears. I'm pretty sure a bundle of letters that make an impolite word now and then won't traumatize anyone.

maybe if it wouldn't be too hard, or if it's possible, a censoring thing could be put on it like on the forums?

then those people who do swear could still do it but you wouldn't have to see it.

The other day I was on there and some dude was using the "F" word over and over. Is there not something you can do to prevent people from cursing?
