Scholars and order-keepers for their homeworlds both seem pretty likely. (and no, you aren't bad at putting your thoughts into sentences! (hug)) Perhaps they're also order-keepers of Avalar's magic in general? I can't know much about magic (other than that it's a great cover for plotholes. Question: How come Spyro can fly in speedways and flights but not in other places? Answer: With magic, of course! XD), but it does strike me as something that can go horribly wrong if someone doesn't know what they're doing with it. Perhaps there needs to be a certain balance of it in certain places, which would affect the balance in other places in a sort of domino effect. Which could be where the wizards come in!

AND HEY, YER RIGHT. You know, I wonder how the wizards are seen in Avalar? They control magic, after all, which seems to be a fairly respectable field to go into, if the Professor is anything to go by. (considering most of the science he deals with involves portal technology, which I think involves magic.) The Cloud Temple Wizard who first talks to Spyro (I think his name was Bartleby, but I'm not sure. Darnit, I just replayed Ripto's Rage, too! >.<) said he used to be one of Avalar's most respected magicians, but by whose standards is he speaking?

I do! And I am, in fact, ashamed. BUT THAT IS WHY I AM COMMENTING NOW. TO SHOW MY APPRECIATION FOR THE WIZARDS THAT GOT TRAMPLED AND MAGICKED ON FOR MY ENTERTAINMENT.

ANYWAY. I voted my favorite wizard to be the Cloud Temple wizard because...I like his design better. Slightly. BUT I LOVE THEM BOTH, I TELL YOU. The Waterwizards have more of a sock-puppet look to them, which makes them cuddlier. I just like the thick plume of purple...somethings...on the Cloud Temple wizards' heads better.

Oh, and Wyndon Torque? I looked at your fanart of the Waterwizard, and immediately faved it. ^^

I'm sure any Spyro fan remembers the wizards from Mystic Marsh and Cloud Temples, right? Well, I for one am quite offended by the little recognition these sock-puppety sacks of pure freakiness recieve! They fought off scary warlocks and got trampled by snail-elephants for your entertainment and you people won't even make a fanclub for them? For shame!

The plants from Misty Bog from Spyro 1 have a fanclub. THE PLANTS THAT FREAKIN' EAT YOU HAVE A FAN CLUB and yet our little Spyro 2 wizards don't?
