I say they ruin the game...of course they make the game less challenging no doubt like infinite fury breath when you have mana unlimited. Then you can defeat anything with just a few short blasts. Even Malefor goes down so easy with fury breath. Just stand there and zap him for a few seconds during each of the stages.

Easier and less challenging is similar. But it doesn't make the game easier for sure, you still need your flying, running and dodging practice. It's not all about blasting everything, the puzzles in the game are awesome to figure out. You still have to think and love the game in order to enjoy playing.
