lol ok same here though from what i said. But also that is the good thing about the pool is chlorine!!!! i like the smell and also knowing it is clean in the pool. XD

I meant at my school. We have a leisure centre on site. School's practically in debt because of it, but *bleep* I love the smell of chloine. Does wonders for sore throat.

lol same here, stupid pool its meant to have a dome or something to cover it now, its just green slime in the bottem lol XD as well as that you can sometimes smell it on hot days when it is assembley in the gym which is right by the pool.

Dealing with your problems head on is the right thing to do in this case. My last post was the immature side of me speaking lol...so don't pay that any mind. The right thing to do is just take it head on and learn from your experiences. Many of us are faced with problems and commitments that we don't always want to deal with...but dealing with them in a very honest and steadfast demenor will give you a good feeling when it is all said and done.....and who knows...maybe someday you will find that you actually do enjoy swimming more then you did.

That's one of the great things about sticking with something you think you dislike...you never know how you might see it after doing it for a couple years. Anyways just deal with it head on and make yourself a better person for doing so. Taking the easy way out will only grant you less respect in not only your eyes...but the eyes of others.

I think im just going to take pheonix flyers advice and just deal with it. my girlfriend didnt want to swim either but she did today so now i feel more motivated to do it tomorrow. its just at times teens can be so cruel that its hard to want to do things you think you may be moked for because your not good at it.

swimming is good i like it just going bak and forth i could do ti 4 ages if i could bt if u want to get out of it i would say that u should change classes like wot people hav said

I personally love the feeling that swimming (or any physical activity, for that matter) gives me, so I cannot say I sympathize with you. However, if you are unable to get out of swimming, then I suggest that you look on the bright side of things (despite my inability to do the same). You'll be healthier, and you won't be as likely to drown if you're ever in deep water.

I don't like feeling cold, but I've got to get over it and deal with it, its winter.
I could write you a list of what I don't like but have to deal with, as does everyone else. The teachers aren't going to let you skip a swimming class just for that reason. And you're embarassed about looking bad because you aren't the best swimmer in the class? THATS EVEN WORSE! That's the entire reason you have swimming lessons, to get better!
Sympathy gone, I say you will have to deal with it. Girls have long hair and 'Girly Things' to worry about when they're swimming, so you can hardly moan about feeling wet all day. Dry yourself with your towel properly and blast your hair under a hand-dryer and get on with it.

The two best solutions depending on what type of personality you have. The rebellious side will say, wag/skip the class! The other side will say, just do it and get over yourself.

If you REALLY don't wanna do it, then just skip it. But just face it, because later in life you will get use to facing things.

well i have long hair. i know i may sound a little girly (no offence to anyone) but i just dont like feeling like that. being wet makes me feel uncomfortable. im also not a great swimmer and i dont want to be embarassed. but thanks though so far to everyone. i may try and get my class switched today
