Before you go talking about how bad of a company Sierra was, I suggest you research them. You maybe surpised by their contributions to gaming and other areas on computing.

They cant please everyone... so they need to decide wich way they are taking... and the choice is surely the more profit one...

It depends. Some people say that people dont like platformers anymore. Well Thats strange as people scream out for Games such as New Super mario DS, Mario Galaxy, Jak and daxtar, Banzo Kazooie And Ratchet and clank. Most reviewers Suggest A platforming alternative for Sonic and Crash and other titles that have turned combat. It depends. If they go back to the originals now, THere will be a loss of many fans who like TLOS. BUT, I recon that People who DO like platformers will play it, and old Spyro fans WILL return. If they advertise enough and stuff. Sierra really are just hanging on a thread. there getting there sales from TLOS fans who will buy anything with TLOS spyro on the front cover. Meaning taht they CAN keep flushing out these TLOS games and earn enough profit.

I agree, Releasing a TLOS game is guaranteed profit because the TLOS kids will buy it. Its not a "risk" as an original game would be.

This is why I dont like Sierra. They care more about If there games get sold than the overall quality of the game. In comparison to Insomniac (Who 90% wont return to Spyro) Games who Spend alot of Time on The Quality and Get great reviews and great profit in return.

I know many SAy that Insomniac will never returnn to Spyro. But there companies are getting larger and larger and suddenly they might say "hey, Who wants to make a quick Spyro game?". So they ask Sierra, Sierra says yes (because Its the best Developer Sierra's gotton) and A Short but Fun original Spyro game is made for the Playstation store.
...............Ok, that will never happen, But its a dream.

Overall, While The original Spyro gamesa re awesome games And I'd like Sierra to go back to them, Sierra is too much of a cash cow to do so. TLOS was a great idea, It made them lots of money, It still does, and they should continue with it, no matter how crap it is

That's because the older fans are older and actually have ability to debate the subject in a way that makes sense most of the time. When you get the vast majority of fans for LoS all they do is scream about how much the new games rock and always will.

Thats not necessarily true. I actually tend to find more hardcore old spyro fans more, uh... how to put this without making people upset, "jerky?"
Don't take this the wrong way, I'm sure most true spyro fans (old and new) aren't like that and those guys are the exception. I've mostly noticed this on dark spyro forums. I think this is due to the fact that the old fans are upset with how spyro is turning out. Like I said, don't take this the wrong way, this is just what I've noticed. Pretty much everyone on this forum is cool

I hope they'll try to improve the series. If they justify it by saying it's needed to keep it profitable, fine. I don't mind them being money-grubbing if we get better games out of the deal.

1st: there are more people wich like it most than the old ones;
2nd: the new generation is what matters for them, since they will keep buying games for more time, just beasiness. But most people that preffer the old ones are the old generation.

yeah thats how I see it too. I also agree that more people like the new series, but the old fans seem to voice their opinions more

Thank you someone understands what I was trying to say. They care about the audience that they're targeting right now. They don't care about the older fans now that they have a whole new generation hooked.
