I can't really think of how that would be possible either. You kind of have to try to send a report, having to type in the description and all. But if it's really a mistake, no, there's no way to take it back. No need to worry about it, though; just don't abuse the feature or use it to try to reply to posts.

Erm, I don't see how you could "accidently report a post"..someone explain how it could happen?... No offence, just saying.

It is at the bottom of the page for any moderator (or Spyrorocks) to view if there is a new one reported. If one mod solves it before another, then it'll just seem as if it never happened to others.

I have been noticing an increasing amount in reported posts that didn't need to be reported. So, here is a short lesson on what the report button does and when to use it.

What is the report button?
The report button looks like this () and is found on the upper right corner of every post. Its purpose is to alert moderators of rule-breaking posts that need attention. When you report a post, you usually include a short message describing the rule being broken. The report process is between the member that reported the post and the moderators only. It is not a tool to give people feedback on their posts or to send private messages.

What happens to a post that is reported?
When a post is reported, the moderators are notified with a message at the bottom of the page, like this:

A moderator will then look at the post and decide what to do about it. No one but moderators can see the messages you write when you report a post, so they are confidential.

When should I report a post?
You should report a post if it is breaking the SpyroForum rules, such as advertising, spam, flaming, etc.

When should I not report a post?
Do not report a post if it isn't breaking the rules. This includes using the report button as a way to comment on someone's post, which will not work as only moderators can see messages left on reported posts.

If you want to make a comment on someone's post, just post in the thread, but don't use the report button. The person you are reporting will not even see what you're trying to say to him or her if you try to use this method.

Thank you for reading. Any questions, feel free to ask here.
