you go to the area. find the area with the burnt trees. fly to the other side, and you will see 2 red crystals on a pillar. go past the red crystals, and turn left. follow the trail of lava.

I'm assuming that you haven't got past the waterfall here BTW. The gap I think is tricky to see, and visible form only one side really.
