You don't actually need the switch, I beat it without throwing it and the second time I beat I saw it, but it's very hard to do.
First, get the orb.
Second, use Spyro's electric breath on the switch until it doesn't move anymore.
Third, jump on the platforms and drop it on the panel.

its a quite a clvr test i think if malefor had to train down there and i think it took most people a while quiteclvr yet u dnt notice it as well

is where you have to drag something across to the other side? if it is then i can help you.

what you need to do is to have cynder on the object(like you did for the raft on the river) and spyro hanging down. now breath on the electirc thingy. the longer you breath on it the longer the walls stay in. then quickly fly across to the other side.

i hope tha is easy enough i had no other way to explain it lol. i found it very difficult at first then relised what you had to do lol

How Do You Do The Crystal Where You Have To Use Spyro's Electric Breath To Do The Switch. And Please Explain In VERY Simple Way.
