It seems they are also protesting against other wider issues, such as government corruption and inefficiency, and the neglect of the falling economy. Like A_Guy said, I hope few innocents have been harmed by the rioting.

There has been loads of destruction there - even the burning down of a Christmas tree. I hope those that are currently in the areas affected by the riots manage to avoid harm.
