For example, http://www.horseforum.com/ I rewrote your question in the spoiler below to make more sense, feel free to use it if you are posting in another forum and if it seems mostly correct.

▼Hidden text

Topic title:
Help with putting the bridle on an unco-operative horse?

Initial message:
Hey there! Please forgive me if I’ve posted this in the wrong section, I’m a bit of a newbie. ^^;
I recently purchased a male, ex-racing, Tb Gelding from the local auctions, and we’ve had him for 5 days now. When I try and put the bridle on him, he keeps chucking his head up in the air and making it difficult for me to do this. Would anybody be so kind as to share some tips on breaking this bad habit of his, or any tips on bridling horses in general? I’ve also heard of a method of putting on the bridle that involves putting apple sauce on the bit, but I’m not sure if this is effective, would anybody have advice on this? Thank you

A book that I own, called "Back to Basics: A practical guide to old fashioned self sufficiency" (Rodwell P and others, 1997) suggests some tips for putting the bridle on a horse...
- Place the reins over the Horse's neck.
- Arrange the bridle, hold the top in your right hand and reach under the animal's neck, holding the head piece in your right hand and the bit in your left.
- Place the bit against the horse's teeth, pushing gently; the animal should open its mouth to accept it. As it does so, lift the head piece over the horse's offside (right ear), then over its left ear, and adjust it.
- Do up the throat latch, remembering that it should have three fingers' space between the throat and strap. A well trained horse should be easy to bridle.

You can also search for and borrow out books out from your local school or town library that are about horseriding, yourself.

You know she would always help you. But you should realize
that horses throwing their head up isn't that bad because Amigo is smaller than Ernie, and Ernie throws his head up.

Sorry if this sounds rude but I'm having trouble understanding your issue because of the way you type. Is he just simply being defiant on having a bridle put on him or does he become defiant when the bridle is on him? Since you've had him for a short while but you've mentioned he's experienced with bridles, (seeing as he's done dressage) maybe he just needs time to get used to you and the sorroundings. I guess you can try the applesauce on the bridle bit if anything, but I've always preferred molasses.

It's always better for you if you ask horse communities on the web rather than here.
