^disagree becuase DotD ruined the LoS trilogy by screwing up the plot and characters. (Since WHEN is Volteer silent!?). The combat system is copied from God of War. Hell, the Golem IS THE SAME EXACT THING AS THE FIRST BOSS OF GOD OF WAR 2. Malefor=Mundus from Devil May Cry. The whole plot is actually LotR with dragons. (Dotd: seige of warfang. HMM, HAVEN'T WE SEEN THAT SOMEWHERE!?) Graphics are a 'meh' for me. (When hunter shoots an arrow, it doesn't follow the proper way it should have shot. It looks like it was just levitated upwards.)

Your arguement about how the combat system is copied from God of War, lots of games have light attack, heavy attack and a hit counter, if you're going to coplain about that then you might as well call fighting games God of War clones cuz they all have light and heavy attacks as well as a hit counter. Just because the main antagonist has a name similar to another antogonist from another game doesn't mean it's a clone. Malefor sounds NOTHING like Mundus. Graphics are NOT what makes a game good, it's gameplay, difficulty and execution.

Look at the Last Remnant, AMAZING graphics for the PC and s**t gamplay. Now THAT'S a clone. Ever played Final Fantasy? Play that shortly after FF.

Why is Malefor trying to destroy the world instead of rule it now? Where did the moles come from, and why didn't anyone mention there was a city the dragons could have run to in the first place?  "The shattered vale" mentioned in the second game is never mentioned again or explained, why?

Also, why has the world been so thoroughly changed that we don't see ANYTHING from the first two games (look at the map and look down during the floating isles mission, does any of it look familiar? They specifically mention islands and a mainland in the first two games, but now it's all 1 big landmass?)
Why are the fury attacks now generic instead of element specific? Why does no one worry when they're using fury, considering it looks just the the dark power DS was using at the end of the second game? And they don't even try to explain any of this? The whole justification that had for Cynder's jewelry was rather weak, but at least it was an explanation (and it's not even that important compared to the stuff I just mentioned).

Mind you, I like LoS, but the series has its problems, and if we don't point them out the developers will continue to make the same mistakes.

I actually prefered Volteer to be silent. He was annoying in the previous 2 games.

Irregardless it still completely alters the persona of a character, someone who actually cares about the story at hand doesn't do something like that. All it shows is inability to continue developing characters.

Finally, someone gets it. Thank you for the true facts that DotD is better than all of the old Spyro games put together. Those first spyro games weren't games, they were money wasters. I actually own Spyro YOTD and I am thinking about selling it for just 5 cents.

Well, some people are just to ignorant to appreciate a upgrade.
As I said, to me the first series just seemed like they were there to just make him popular and known.

YOTD... 5 cents!? Wow, over here I could sell it for about £5 if I wanted to, saying that... It's hard to find over here, unless you emulate.

Theres a ton of other facts about DOTD that make it better hands down, I just placed a few of the ones that are more noticeable in game.

Chapter selection mode... Awesome.

The only old game I truely liked was YOTD (Year Of The Dragon) for the PS1 and that was mainly because of the game time, took a long time to get everything done.
One of the worst by far has to be HT (Heroes Tale) The voice acting, exscuse my language... sucked.

The only fault I find in the new games is the game lenghs, and this time they really gave you the feeling you was with Spyro every step of the way while he was growing up, they made suttle changes in DOTD compared to TNB and TEN, well I noticed a very small difference in TEN but the main differences can be seen in DOTD. The free fly, is one of the best things they added, it was long over-due in my mind.

Lets face it, Spyro looks a LOT better now, look in DOTD he actually is bigger, has bigger wings and the voice, a tiny bit deeper then what it was the other two. The double player advanture mode, was actually unexpected to me, it's something that isn't found in many games but yet turned up in a Spyro game, which was a great and welcomed suprise.

So, to answer the question "When will they bring out a GOOD Spyro game?"... The answer is, just go down to your game store and look at ANY of the latest three Spyro games for the major consoles, which would be TNB, TEN and the truely awesome DOTD.

The only decent old one was YOTD and MAYBE HT, but the one hit KO on the enermies was borring after the first game.

The old ones were ALRIGHT for their time and did what they were suposed to do, get people hooked for the more complex games of today.

Their done and gone, enough said.

The new Spyro has more to offer then ANY old one could.
